  1. Hi ive just purchased a 2012 Rav4 XT-R 2.2 with touch and go nav does the speech recognition function work on my model as its saying not available every time i push the speech button on the steering

    1. Hi Simon,
Sorry for the delay. We’d recommend upgrading your multimedia system to a Touch and Go Plus if you wish to use this facility. Hope this help.

      1. Thanks for replying to my question do you know where and how much the upgrade would cost? I assume it’s a download of an update for the media system that need installing.

  2. Hi Simon,
This is a hardware fix, not a software fix. We’d advise contacting your local dealer in order to upgrade your multimedia system with the voice recognition feature. Hope this helps.

  3. Hello, there still appears to be a big problem with the map update for the Toyota Touch and Go system. I recently updated my maps by purchasing new maps through estore. The maps have installed but I can only enter the first four characters for the postcode such as BR1_2. I have spoken to a few of the dealerships in the London area and none have a clue as how to rectify the issue. I paid £110 for the map update and advise owners against this upgrade.

    1. Hi Naz,
      Thanks for getting in touch.
Please could you supply us with your Reg Number or VIN number so our Multimedia Team can investigate into this for you.
      Thanks.

  4. Hi,
I have just got a Toyota Auris Icon Tech (2018) A’s a company car.Firstly, my reg no doesn’t work on the My Toyota registration, secondly, is there a way to I put a full post code on the sat nav. Seems to only let me get the first 4 digits in.

    1. Hi Jason,
      Thanks for getting in touch.
We apologise for this and the inconvenience this has caused.
Regarding the registration number not being able to work, please use the vehicle identification number (VIN) instead and we will look into this for you.
You can find out how to find it here: https://mag.toyota.co.uk/toyota-vin-vehicle-identification-number.
The postal code should allow more than four characters, please be advised, once you have finished the first part of the postal code (3/4 character depending on the length of the code) use the ‘space’ function on the multimedia user interface. This should allow you to consequently enter the second part of the code.
If this does not work please do get back in touch with us.
      Thanks.

    1. Hi Maan,
      Thanks for getting in touch.
If you could provide us with your registration we will be happy to advise you.
      Thanks.

  5. I have an Auris with Touch and Go+. The satnav tries to take me on B roads whatever the setting – Fast or Short or Eco – in Cornwall this is no joke, B roads are often single track bounded with granite. I presume it has the average speed setting on B roads set too high and the shortest route is also the fastest (they appear to be the same). How can I change this, please, so that I can use the perfectly good A road instead of going from Falmouth to Mullion via Gweek??

    1. Hi Jack,

Thanks for getting in touch. The Touch 2 with Go unit doesn’t offer the ability to de-select B roads when navigating.

However, it is possible to create a journey via My Toyota, which will allow you to set a series of points of interest along your preferred route (on A roads) which the navigation unit will follow.

      We hope this helps.

      1. No it does not really help…. this is far too complicated a way to set a route, the routing algorithm should suffice, especially when it is responding to voice commands. Why is it not possible to change the average speed parameters??

        Jack

  6. Hello I have an avensis tourer 13 plate which I love however today suddenly my iphone is incompatible with the touch and go system for making and receiving calls despite having used this version phone for over 9 months. In addition after seeking advice from the local toyota garage I am advised that I will need a software update but having read comments previously made I am reluctant to do this. Is the system software update suddenly now a problem with the phone I have used with no previous problems? Reluctant to buy something that may not make a difference and indeed mess up my sat nav system too. I have version 2.8.4L according to general system info. Cheers Nancy?

after pressing confirmation screen – any ideas ?
    Thanks Ian

  8. I have a 2012 Avensis T4 diesel automatic estate. My touch and go links to my iPhone for phone calls but my sat nav doesn’t appear to work, it says no network found although I have personal hotspot enabled on my phone and Bluetooth tethering switched on on my touch and go. There at two micro sd card slots under a flap on the front, but nothing in them.

  9. My satnav keeps defaulting to km-no matter how many times I select miles in settings. Any ideas how to fix this?
