Toyota Touch & Go enables you to send and receive text messages, but you will first have to check to see if your phone is compatible. All the details are on the Toyota website.
You should only create, read or reply to a text message when you are not driving.
To reply to a text message:
Press the PHONE icon
Select MESSAGES
You can see if there are any new messages in your Inbox
To reply to a message press REPLY FREE TEXT
Or press REPLY TEMPLATE to use a message prepared earlier
To write a new text message:
Press the PHONE icon
Select MESSAGES
Press CREATE NEW
Press either CREATE MESSAGE, USE TEMPLATE or PREPARE TEMPLATE MESSAGE
The system has 10 pre-prepared template messages but can store up to 15.

Hi there. Just saw this and thought I’d ask a question. On my 66 plate yaris when a text message appeared on my screen I used to hear a small bleep which drew your attention to the message. On my 18 plate yaris the messages appear OK on the screen but no sound. Has something aye been disabled

The text messaging part of my Jan 2016 Auris Excel Hybrid has stopped working.
Inbox displays month and older messages only come up after about 10 minutes.
Sent Items and Create New are both greyed out so are dead.
No notifications + display of incoming messages.
Phone seems OK and Internet seems OK, too.
I’ve sent a message via “Contact us” but this route may be quicker

I have a 2020 plate tyota pri plus I used to be with apple and was able to hear my messages and reply while driving. I have changed to samsung galaxy z flip3 and my partner was getting worried about ne has I wasn’t replying but the car wouldn’t let me reply is this an issue with in my phone or is it no longer possible to do also my phone book wo t download
