    1. Hi Mark,
May we suggest you take your Yaris Hybrid into your Local Centre. Your Centre will have someone who will be able to set this all up for you and show you how it works. It looks to us that you are in South Africa, so please find your Local Centre here: http://www.toyota.co.za/find-a-dealer. We hope this helps and that you can get it sorted there. Many thanks.

  1. Hi,
I have had my Yaris for 10 days and are soon to go on holiday to West Sussex and Hampshire from our home in the West Mids. Can the Touch & Go give us after the trip our overall petrol consumption etc.

    Thanks, David

  2. Hi David,
    Thank you for your question.
Your Touch & Go system will keep a log of your recent history and you can also reset your statistics at the beginning of your trip. This will then, upon completion of your entire journey, give you the overall MPG figure, distance travelled, among other stats.
    We hope this helps!
    Many thanks.

  3. Hi I have new Toyota T Spirit with Touch and Go. everything works five although I cannot connect internet to it.
I have tried everything. Set up tethering on my blackberry, set up the APN on the touch and go and my phone and nothing. It keeps saying “connection Failed”.

Can you please advise what the problem can be?
My network provider is Orange UK contract.

    Thanks in advance ,

    Kat

    1. Hi Kat

First of, I’d suggest you check to make sure your phone is compatible with the Touch & Go system Compatibility Checker.

If it is, then you may have to contact Orange to make sure your mobile phone package has tethering enabled as some networks don’t have it turned on as a default setting.

Let us know how you get on.

      Thanks

      Richard

  4. Hi,
I just get my new Avensis which has the Touch and Go Plus, but many funktions didn’t work, ex: the internet connection, the email, kalender. and I didn’t see the guide lines in the back camera. I tried many times to configure the T&GO but no way. I just could connect to mobile through bluetooth, Media and NAV. I live in Sweden. Could anyone help, Thank you.

  5. Only just a few weeks now I’m the proud owner of a new 2012 Auris Hybrid which includes the in it’s kernel lovely Touch&Go system.
Software and map version are listed as version 1.7.5L and MapID 20110321.

Is this really the latest version?

The map info shows to be at least some one and a half year behind reality. Most observations refer to the NL situation, but also for B, D, F and E I’ve noticed the same issues.
New neighbourhoods missing completely while occupied since late 2010. Late summer 2011 opened toll road AP46 Las Pedrizas, Málaga, Spain is still not on the map. Couple of crossroads have in real been transfered into roundabouts before 2011. Many provincial 80km roads are still presented as 100km mainroads.

I’d expected a new car been delivered with at least a 2012 map version which in general includes most of the 2011 and all 2010 road changes.

Is the Touch&Go somewhat outdated or am I wrong? Or…?

  6. Hi Henk

Are you referring to a UK purchased Auris Hybrid with Touch & Go? As we can only assist with cars bought in the UK.

    Thanks

    Richard

    1. Hi Richard,

      Thanks for responding.

You’re right about the car being purchased outside UK. For that reason I was not asking for any specific assistance.

But if you tell me that the UK delivered cars have more recent and thus better up-to-date maps I could seek further assistance here.
It would be strange if the map covers all Western Europe and different countries get different map versions. Agree?

So just receiving an answer on my question about the latest version would be very much appreciated.

      Regards, Henk

  7. Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply. My phone is compatible with the Touch and Go and has the tethering package enabled.

Somehow I manage to get working twice. First time the internet worked but I could not stream music via BLT. I have asked my local Toyota dealer and they said it is common as the system cannot do both at the same time.

The second time i had to disconnect for all and connect again and both: internet and blt worked together quite happily.

I have never managed to get it to work again, but when my navigation started to crash when I wanted to zoom in I started to think maybe the is a problem with the unit.

I have dropped off yesterday to be serviced and we will see if they find any problem with it.

I have connected the memory stick to touch and go tool box and it downloaded an update for it. When it was installed my hands free stooped to work and only got back to normal when I deleted the pairing with my phone. Rebooted my phone, and paired again.

It kinda looks to me like a bug in a system.

I will keep you posted 🙂

  8. Hi Richard,

According to the manual, our Toyota Yaris is equipped with the Touch system (including the 6.1″ touch display, multimedia, bluetooth, …, etc). It isn’t the Touch&Go one – there is no GPS.
Is there a way to install only the missing GPS (or using the one of my mobile phone via the bluetooth) ?
Is there a way to activate applications from CD/USB media ?

The car is manufactured in France, is there a way to contact the support ?

    Thanks

    Zeev
