  1. Thanks for the reply, How come it receives texts tho. Can it be updated to send them. the s3 is on par with the new iPhone so surely it should be capable.

    1. Hi Steve,
This is due to an incompatibility between the phone and the Touch & Go’s Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profiles) when sending messages. Unfortunately, this varies dependent on the manufacturer.
      Many thanks.

  2. I have been trying to transfer contacts from my galaxy s3 to my 2010 avensis touch and go system. Every time I try the blue tooth disconnects and it fails. Any ideas?

    1. Hi Andrew,
Thanks for getting in touch. We suggest speaking with your Dealer who’ll be able to help you with the Bluetooth process, specifically for your phone and navigation system. You can find their details here: http://ow.ly/eQTSq.
      Many thanks.

  3. Hi, i have this brand new 2012 facelifted Prius with a Touch System.
When i want to pair it with my bluetooth phone (ihone5), it says something like “passcode 0000, please pair your device now”.
Now I can see the “Car Multimedia” System in the bluetooth setting on the iphone, but I cannot connect –> error, please make sure the other device is in pairingmode…

There is an “activity spinner” on the prius’ touch display, but it doesn’t spin. it somehow feels as if the wohle “bluetooth unit” crashed. Is there a way to reset/reboot it ?

I defenitly know that it worked during the testdrive!

  4. hi, after my last post regarding the s3 compatibility with text messaging, I looked at the iPod. it also says that this is incompatible with messaging.,if that is the case, then was is the point on having a text facility on the touch and go as these are the top two phones available.

  5. Hi Alwiz,
Thanks for getting in touch. You may need to use the ‘Make this system discoverable’ option on your Toyota Touch system. You can find more information on Bluetooth pairing on page 4 of the Touch&Go quick guide, located in your vehicle passport within the glovebox. Alternatively, you can visit our website toyota.co.uk/touchandgo, where you’ll find some How To videos, including ‘How to pair your phone’.
    We hope this helps.

  6. Hi Amy,

    unfortunately that didn’t help.
As I said: the iphone “sees” the Touch System but it cannot pair with it. Tried another iPhone (4) and Android (Galaxy S3) as well..
I assume there is something wrong with the “bluetooth unit” (chip, application, ??) that needs to be rebooted.

  7. Hi Alwiz,
We’re sorry this didn’t help. We suggest speaking with your Local Dealer if you’re still having trouble, they will be able to review this for you and advise. You can find their details here: http://ow.ly/eQPjR.
    Many thanks.

  8. Hi! I updated my toyota touch and go in my prius, and i downloaded the free app called weather, where can i find it in the touch and go so that i can check the weather and also how come i cannot have text message on my touch and go.
The touch and go system is installed on a toyota prius 2012.
    thanks

    1. Hi romano,
As this is a Prius we would need to know if it has Touch & Go+ or Toyota Touch Pro (part of the tech pack) for a more accurate reply.
If it is Touch & Go+ applications are accessed by pressing the telephone/world button until the extras menu is displayed.
      The following is also required.
      – A mobile phone with available Bluetooth® (DUN/PAN) connection,
      – The mobile phone supports HFP (Hands Free Profile) and
      – The mobile phone has sufficient network coverage and
      – The mobile phone has SIM card with a contract that allows access to the
      internet (tethering).
      – In case the mobile phone has a Hotspot function (example iPhone) it must
      be enabled
We hope this helps, many thanks.

      1. Thanks for the reply, managed to find it and now been using it.another question though, how come i can’t send or receive text messages to my touch and go? when i try to open messages thru touch and go, it says not compatible. my phone is iphone 4s and im pretty sure its touch and go system.
        thanks

    1. Thanks for the reply, another question is how do i use the tmc in my touch and go? coz when i see any roadworks or any other icon on the map and try to touch it, the information of the said icon doesnt show, whereas on my friends touch satnav (also a prius) but a older version, when he touches a example an icon of roadworks, it shows the information.
      Can you help?
      thanks

      1. Hi Romano,
You can access traffic messages by pressing the ‘NAV’ button and then selecting ‘Traffic Messages’.
The previous generation of Prius models have a different satellite navigation system so do operate differently.
We hope this information helps you.
        Many thanks.
