Hi Bruce,
Sorry we did not answer your question. Many factors influence the delivery date of a vehicle such as; factory fit options, colour, grade, engines and specification. The reason why we ask the supplying dealer to do this is because they will have all this information to hand and have access to the latest delivery details. We also asked our vehicle supply team for a rough delivery date if we were to factory order a car today. They quoted November if the order was placed before this Monday. We do also carry a stock of vehicles which may be able to fulfill such an order in a quicker time if one was available. Hope this helps explain a bit more and any other questions please let us know.
It says in the handbook not to attach anything on the inside screen under the front safety sense
sensor why is this as I won’t to fit a dash cam in this position
Hi Michael, thank you for your question today. We have asked our Auris Safety Sense product specialists and will get back to you with an answer as soon as we can.
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your post. Sorry for the late reply. We have passed this to our technical team and they have advised against attaching anything on the inside of the windscreen as this may affect the sensors for the safety sense feature. Hope this help clarify. If you have any other questions please let us know.
I just ordered my new Auris Touring Sport, replacing a Mk1 version. Sadly the split level boot is no longer offered. That’s the compromise for having the spare wheel as standard I guess. I ordered (and used) a spare wheel with my original Auris – can I get the split level boot back as an option..?
Now there is a lip to lift anything in the boot out over. Bulky, awkward shapes and heavy items can no longer be slid out. Also the floor is no longer flat when the rear seats are folded and the items in the boot rest on the much weaker spare wheel cover
I would love to keep the components (that are needed to reinstall the split level floor) from my existing car but the dealership would notice.. 🙂 could the items be bought from the spares counter and user installed or has the shape of the boot changed during the face lift to make that impossible..?
Hi Harry,
Thank you for your question. We have passed this by our products department and they have advised that you contact your local Toyota Dealer. There is not a factory fit option available for the Split level boot, however they have suggested that there may be a way your local Toyota dealer can provide you with an individual assessment of parts and components needed in order to try make this possible. If you need help contacting your local Toyota Dealer we will be happy to assist you. Sorry we could not be more positive but if you have any more questions please let us know.
Purchased the Auris 1.2 BE with TSS & very impressed with the engine, still less than 100miles but showing 39mpg on mix of urban & country roads.
I have two questions & one observation.
Q1 The car came with a User guide but no thicker Owners Manual or Nav Manual which is referred to in the Users Manual, should I have had a copy?
Q2 Is it possible to change the illumination level in the two speed/rpm dials & the small driver info screen?
The Audio/Nav screen has a seperate udjustment
Observation. One for the future…I would recommend changing the colour of the plastic cowling on the TSS sensor unit from black to grey (matching the visors etc) this would make it less noticable.
Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your post. The owners manual can be downloaded from the My Toyota website. https://www.toyota.co.uk/tme#/my-toyota/eManual. The brightness for your speed dials can be adjusted by pressing and holding the “Disp” switch while the side lights are on. This is detailed in the owners manual. Hope this helps and any other questions please let us know.
I’ve just picked up my new Auris 1.6D TS Excel grade. I have a few questions;
The brochure says Hill Start Assist is a standard feature, the Owners manual that comes with the car says nothing about it. The activation method of the HSA in my previous Auris Excel does nothing. So; does this car come with HSA or did the brochure lie to me..?
The car will connect to my house Wi-Fi, but to do that I need to add the car’s MAC address to the list of allowed MAC addresses that my router will accept. I couldn’t find it in the settings anywhere, can you let me know where that information is displayed..?
Hi Harry,
Thank you for your question today. We have asked our technical team and will get back to you with an answer as soon as we can. Many thanks.
Why does only the nearside reversing light work on the facelift 2015 Auris Touring Soprt
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your post. The nearside light is a reversing lamp and the offside light is a fog lamp. Hope this helps clarify. If you have any other questions please let us know.
Hi
I am looking to buy the New Auris Excel with the panoramic roof but cannot see the price as an optional extra . Please can you confirm and roughly how much time this will add to the build.
Hi there,
Thank you for your post. On 2015 Auris the Toyota skyview panoramic roof is £550 including VAT, the waiting time for the vehicle will depend on the availability of that specific car (depending on the colour, grade, engine and options selected). In terms of physical build time the panoramic roof will not vary much from the standard roof. Hope this helps clarify and if you have any other questions please let us know.
I have a new Auris touring sport excel TSS I want to connect the audio system to the internet but when I try it says making connection will set up extra charges, my iPhone sim card is unlimited calls, unlimited texts
unlimited internet access for a fixed price as the connection is made through my phone what extra charges will be applied
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your post. The cost that the system is warning about is the mobile network suppliers charge for the internet connection. As long as your download limit is not exceeded you will not be charged. Hope this helps clarify and if you have any other questions please let us know.
Hi, I am going to buy Auris Hybrid Touring Sport Excel with Skyview and I’ve got few questions. 1) Will spare tyre remain or will be replaced with repair kit? 2) Will Skyview roof cause any problems with future installation of cross bars or Thule luggage box? Thanks in advance.
Hi Prem,
Thank you for your post. Auris Hybrid Touring Sports Excel comes with a temporary spare tyre. We would advise not to have a luggage box fitted to the Skyview roof, however if you visit your local Toyota dealer regarding this, they may be able to try alternative methods. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions please let us know.
I bought auris excel…. Most boring dashboard, very awkwardly positioned touch to go screen.. Regretting buying it. Depreciation is big time. Go for kids or ford.
