The Toyota Safety Sense package (Pre-Crash System, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Automatic High Beam, Lane Departure Warning and Road Sign Assist) is available on all models except Active grade. The Toyota Touch 2 system can be upgraded to ‘with Go’ specification on Icon and Design models, and the ‘with Go Plus’ functionality can be added to the system on Icon and Design models.
Options further extend to a Chrome Pack (all models), Protection Pack (all models), Parking Pack (front and rear parking sensors for Icon, Business Edition and Design) and a range of rear entertainment DVD player/iPad mounting systems (all models).
Hi,
Am I right in assuming that for company lease customers, Business Edition replaces Icon Plus?
Also, the Business Edition spec listed here omits certain things that were standard on the Icon Plus, such as the privacy tinted rear windows and electrically folding wing mirrors – these are shown as featuring on the Design model however. Could you please clarify whether this is actually the case or whether there are omissions from the full spec here.
Also, for ordering purposes, is there anywhere that I can see the full spec and colours (i.e. a brochure) online or in the flesh yet please?
Many thanks.
Hi Matt, thanks for your question. The New Auris comes in five grades: Active, Icon, Design, Business Edition and Excel. The Business Edition model does not come with privacy glass (Design and Excel) or electrically folding wing mirrors (Excel only). It comes with all the features present on the Active and Icon grades, as well as Toyota Touch 2 with Go, cruise control, heated seats and power lumbar support. Brochures will be available online and in dealerships week commencing 20th July. Hope this helps Matt.
How much would the safety sense option be on the icon / business edition? Also when will a brochure be available? Also when is the launch?
Hi David, thanks for the question. Toyota Safety Sense will be available as a £450 option on all grades except Active. Brochures will be available online and in dealerships week commencing 20th July. Pre-sales begin on 1st July and the first vehicles will roll off the line as of 1st September. Hope this helps.
what is the speed limit for the auris and the stability on the ground? what is the maximum angle of inclination it can suspend
Hi Isaac. We’re not too sure what you’re asking us. Could you be a little clearer? Thanks.
Are the insurance groups correct? If so, why is a 1.2t engine group 14e? There must be a reason!
What is the price of the business edition model, alternatively what is the cost of adding cruise control to to the Icon model
Is Cruise Control and Satnav available to add to the Icon grade and at what cost?
Why is the insurance group so high on the 1.2 engine? Is this a misprint? Group 14 is very high for. This type of vehicle with a 1.2engine. What is the reason for this?
Hello David
Thanks for your posts regarding the insurance group of the new 1.2 Turbo Auris.
The reason is because this unit is a direct replacement for the 1.6-litre petrol engine (which was also insurance group 14) and the figures in terms of performance are very similar (torque output has also increased). We also did a quick check with competitor models in the same segment and we are around mid-table in terms of grouping. Hope this does help explain a bit more but please let us know if you have any other questions or queries.
Hi Bruce
Thanks for your posts and for your interest in the new Toyota Auris.
We have checked your queries and the full price list of the business edition models are listed in this article, they start at £19,095 for the 5-door hatchback model. If you want to add sat nav to the Icon model then this would cost £650 however do check out the on the road prices though because an extra £800 will put you in the business edition model with all the extra specification. It is not possible to add cruise control though as this is a factory fit option only. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.
What colour choice is there for the 2015 Auris, in particular hoping deep titanium will be available
Hi Bruce, thanks for your question. Pleased to say Deep Titanium will be available on the New Auris. Two new colours will be available: Denim Blue and Orion Blue. These will join Pure White, Pearl White, Tyrol Silver, Aspen Grey, Eclipse Black, Vermillion Red and Avantgarde Bronze. Hope this helps!
What is the price of the new 2015 Auris with the 1.6 VVTi engine? Seems to be missing from the published price list.
Also would love to see the pros & cons of the 1.2 set against the 1.6 for this size of car.
