  1. I just bought a six months old Auris Hybrid. I have tried all the suggestions but still can not get it to accept a UK post code on test it took me 2.6 mile3s past my home.

  2. Hi David
    Thanks for your post.
Sorry to hear of your problem with entering the post code and while we have run this past our tech team they have not been able to advise why this should be the case. We are presuming you can enter all other address details ok? They would need more information about exactly what is happening to comment further but the simplest and quickest solution would be to run this past your local Toyota dealer to have a look at this for you.

  3. My neighbour has just bought a new Avensis with the same issue. It is because it is defaulting to another EU country (czech republic in his case) and this does not allow a post code to be entered. You have to press the edit symbol to the right of the country and choose UK first.

Compare to his tom tom, it isn’t very good.

  4. I have a 2014 Auris1.6 and it won’t let me enter the full post code on the sat nav. A 10 minute trip ended up in taking me an hour of turning round and eventually using my smart phone. Help, please

  5. Hi I have a 63 plate auris hybrid. Two things have happened recently to my touch and go satnav. Firstly all my locations stored and previous have disappeared. It will not hold the information at all now plus settings have changed and will not store. Every time I switch on I have to change km to miles etc. Also the blue tooth screen has nothing available to press to connect anymore. The options are dark grey.

    1. Hello Grant
Thanks for your post and sorry for the delay in replying.
Sorry that you have experienced a problem with your satnav and we have passed this query to our technical team. In these circumstances they have recommended that you take your car to your local Toyota dealer and let them have a look at this for you. Sorry that we are unable to provide a more conclusive response and any other questions please let us know.

  6. Hello Chrissie
    Thanks for your post.
Sorry to hear of the problem you have experienced entering in the postcode. Can you advise how much data you are able to enter? Say for example if postcode is AB12 (then press spacebar) 3CD? Let us know and we will see how we can help further.

  7. Hello David
    Thanks for your post.
You can change the satnav settings from km to miles if you press the Setup button then press General. You will see the unit of measurement which can be changed. Hope this helps.

  8. Hi, I’ve had the Yaris 1.3 SR 2013 for 2 days; how do I stop the sat nav when I no longer require any more direction? Once I am familiar with my surroundings I quite like to just hear the uninterrupted sound of music, but I don’t seem able to stop it.
Also, is there a way to turn down the sound of the navigation voice, without turning down the sound of the music? Is there any reason why all this info can’t be in the owner’s manual (if it’s in there, I do apologise and kindly ask you point me in the right direction.)

And while I’ve got you, are you able to tell me which ‘type’ my car is, so I can work out the tyre pressure =)

    Thanks

    1. Hi Murphy, thank you for taking the time time contact us. You should have two manuals, a owners manual and a “touch screen” owners manual. Questions regarding Sat Nav route guidance and audio can be located in your touch screen manual. On page 47, routes can be checked, changed and recalculated during route guidance. 1) Touch “Options” on the screen (bottom right) 2) Touch desired item (Stop Guidance). To Turn voice guidance off follow these few steps. 1) Press the “Setup” button. 2) Touch “General”. 3) Touch the items to be set – Navigation prompt volume. 4)Touch OK. If you’d like to adjust the navigation volume during guidance, press the speaker symbol and then adjust the navigation audio volume. We recommend checking your touch screen manual for further information. With regards to checking which ‘type’ your car is, your local Toyota dealer can advise you further. To contact them please visit: http://po.st/QNJejw. We hope this helps.
