New Toyota Yaris price and specification

The new Toyota Yaris is priced from £10,995 and has a new UK grade structure designed to broaden the appeal of the model to a more diverse customer base.

The line-up offers more choice, more equipment options and a wealth of advanced features for on-board comfort, communications, safety and style.

The new line-up presents the established Active and Icon grades, joined by new Sport and Excel trims. Yaris Hybrid can be specified in Icon and Excel versions.

Each grade has its own character, differentiated by details such as the interior trim and materials and treatment of various interior and exterior elements, including the lower grille, wheels, seats, centre console and instrument panel.

High equipment levels feature throughout the range, with a leather-trimmed steering wheel, air conditioning and the latest Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system fitted as standard from Icon grade. Climate control air conditioning is standard for all Hybrid models and for Yaris Excel.

2014 Toyota Yaris specs – in detail
Toyota Touch 2 is an updated version of Toyota’s touchscreen multimedia system with a new, higher resolution seven-inch display. The package includes Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls,  sending and receipt of text messages and audio streaming; a rear-view camera; vehicle information, including trip data, climate control profile; and management of settings for door locking and lighting.

The Sport and Excel grade come with DAB digital radio as standard, with an FM link that automatically switches the system to FM reception when there is no DAB signal. Toyota Touch 2 is also MirrorLink-ready, allowing users to connect compatible smartphones and operate them entirely using the touchscreen

Toyota Touch 2 with Go is available as an option on Icon, Sport and Excel grades, adding navigation, connected services and access to a range of useful applications, including Toyota Real Time Traffic and services such as fuel prices, weather and parking information.

Ten exterior colours are available, including new Island Blue metallic and, exclusively for Hybrid models, Avantgarde Bronze.

Customers can upgrade their new Yaris with a range of options and options packs that add further style, functionality and sophistication. Elements include Toyota’s Skyview panoramic roof, LED daytime running lights and rear lamps, rear privacy glass and the Toyota touch 2 with Go multimedia system with navigation. Sport models can further be specified with vibrant Piri Piri red interior trim, including door panels, front seat upholstery inserts and soft-touch instrument panel.

A new range of option packs has been designed to bring together themed equipment and styling elements to boost Yaris’s specification and street presence. The practical Protection Pack (for Icon, Sport and Excel) adds mudflaps, rear bumper protection, front and rear parking sensors and carpet mats; the Style Pack (Icon and Sport) provides aluminium scuff plates and bumper protection plate and a chrome finish for the door sills, boot and diffuser trims and tailpipe). Icon models can be further upgraded with the Design Pack, adding LED daytime running lights and rear light clusters, plus rear privacy glass.

Exclusively for Excel models, the Appearance Pack introduces a rear spoiler, rear privacy glass and a Skyview (fixed) panoramic roof, and the Smart Pack offers Smart Entry, push-button start (standard on Hybrid Excel) and an auto-folding function for the door mirrors.

  1. Could you tell me when the build your own Yaris will be available online as when you tap to build you get the message we are updating has been over a week since I first tried I would have thought with the strong advertising campaign running Toyota would have had all the support enabled unusual for a large company not to enable all sales tools not everyone has easy access to a Toyota Dealer.
    Regards
    Steve

  2. Hi Steve,
Thanks for your message. We’ve spoken with our Marketing team and the ‘build your Yaris’ section on the Toyota website should be available early next week. Sorry for the delay! Hope this helps.

  3. Have been told by my Toyota dealer I would have a delay of 2-3 months on the delivery on my new yaris icon if I get the design pack as I requested ,why bother advertising these if its that difficult and that long to wait for.

    1. Hi Gordon
      Thanks for your post.
We have checked this with he product team so let us know the details of which colour/engine you want. They have advised we currently have over 600 Icon with design packs in stock. In the worst case scenario if a particular colour or engine combination is not in stock then we have the flexibility at the factory to build one for delivery in 4 to 6 weeks.
Let us know and we will see what we can do.

  4. Hi Steve

    1. Hello Gordon
Thanks for the extra info and just to let you know that we have been in touch with your dealer about this today. They will be in further contact with you.

  5. What a fabulous looking car, I’ve seen a number of these about already!

So why, oh why, when you’re finally starting to make stylish, youthful cars again, can’t we have the TRD versions in the UK?

The chassis in the ’14 yards could certainly handle more power!

  6. Hi Michael. Thanks for your comment and enthusiasm. We’re so glad to hear that you are a fan of the new Yaris! Although sales of the new Yaris are matching our expectations we must admit that we don’t see much demand for the TRD versions in the UK which is the reason they are not available here. Hope this helps to answer your question. If you have any more please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thanks.

  7. Received my new German Yaris last week (comfort) Icon version. A big improvement from my last Yaris 2009 version. Only minuses is no start/stop anymore and little or no storage space. Big plus isToyota touchscreen and big grill which I like. I read about Toyota Protect, what does it cost to protect the paintwork?

  8. Hello Roy
Thanks for your feedback regarding your new Yaris.
With regard to Toyota protect on your paintwork it is best contacting your supplying dealer about this who can go through the pricing and what this entails directly with you.
Thanks again for your post and hope this helps.
