New Toyota Yaris price and specification

The new Toyota Yaris is priced from £10,995 and has a new UK grade structure designed to broaden the appeal of the model to a more diverse customer base.

The line-up offers more choice, more equipment options and a wealth of advanced features for on-board comfort, communications, safety and style.

The new line-up presents the established Active and Icon grades, joined by new Sport and Excel trims. Yaris Hybrid can be specified in Icon and Excel versions.

Each grade has its own character, differentiated by details such as the interior trim and materials and treatment of various interior and exterior elements, including the lower grille, wheels, seats, centre console and instrument panel.

High equipment levels feature throughout the range, with a leather-trimmed steering wheel, air conditioning and the latest Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system fitted as standard from Icon grade. Climate control air conditioning is standard for all Hybrid models and for Yaris Excel.

2014 Toyota Yaris specs – in detail
Toyota Touch 2 is an updated version of Toyota’s touchscreen multimedia system with a new, higher resolution seven-inch display. The package includes Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls,  sending and receipt of text messages and audio streaming; a rear-view camera; vehicle information, including trip data, climate control profile; and management of settings for door locking and lighting.

The Sport and Excel grade come with DAB digital radio as standard, with an FM link that automatically switches the system to FM reception when there is no DAB signal. Toyota Touch 2 is also MirrorLink-ready, allowing users to connect compatible smartphones and operate them entirely using the touchscreen

Toyota Touch 2 with Go is available as an option on Icon, Sport and Excel grades, adding navigation, connected services and access to a range of useful applications, including Toyota Real Time Traffic and services such as fuel prices, weather and parking information.

Ten exterior colours are available, including new Island Blue metallic and, exclusively for Hybrid models, Avantgarde Bronze.

Customers can upgrade their new Yaris with a range of options and options packs that add further style, functionality and sophistication. Elements include Toyota’s Skyview panoramic roof, LED daytime running lights and rear lamps, rear privacy glass and the Toyota touch 2 with Go multimedia system with navigation. Sport models can further be specified with vibrant Piri Piri red interior trim, including door panels, front seat upholstery inserts and soft-touch instrument panel.

A new range of option packs has been designed to bring together themed equipment and styling elements to boost Yaris’s specification and street presence. The practical Protection Pack (for Icon, Sport and Excel) adds mudflaps, rear bumper protection, front and rear parking sensors and carpet mats; the Style Pack (Icon and Sport) provides aluminium scuff plates and bumper protection plate and a chrome finish for the door sills, boot and diffuser trims and tailpipe). Icon models can be further upgraded with the Design Pack, adding LED daytime running lights and rear light clusters, plus rear privacy glass.

Exclusively for Excel models, the Appearance Pack introduces a rear spoiler, rear privacy glass and a Skyview (fixed) panoramic roof, and the Smart Pack offers Smart Entry, push-button start (standard on Hybrid Excel) and an auto-folding function for the door mirrors.

  1. Why have u stopped doing 1.4 Diesel Automatic. Trust me you would sell more Yaris with that if not a lot. I would buy one now! if you put the auto. gear box you had in the old shape Diesel.

  2. Hello Ali
Thanks for your feedback regarding the diesel Yaris, we appreciate the time you have taken to comment. The honest answer here is that the auto was withdrawn due to low sales as the manual is by far the biggest market for this type of car in this segment. That said we do value the feedback we receive which is fed back to the product team for future product reviews.
Hope this helps clarify and thanks again for your post.

  3. Hi. I need to have a diesel and loved my old model (2010) TR diesel. I didn’t buy the current model due to the awfully cheap, less quirky interior and questionable kit. I am hopeful from the picture that the interior is a marked improvement but, while the diesel now has fog lights I am very disappointed that a new car in 2014 doesn’t have DAB as standard across the range, let alone on a non base model and the only diesel in the range. DAB is standard and the Auris and that is now well over a year old. I would not consider the hybrid as the real world economy on the diesel is significantly better than the hybrid – even the Toyota dealer told me that! Will it even be available as an option? It was on my 2010 model! I would love to come back and have another Toyota but I think I will have to wait until the next all new Yaris/Auris in a few years time when I hope some European flair/mojo will reappear in their design.
    Regards

  4. Hello Richard
    Thanks for your post.
We suggest you pop down your local dealer to check out the interiors when cars start arriving at our dealerships because we have worked on improving these. We should also confirm that DAB is standard across the range as this article confirms?
Hope this helps clarify. It would be great to hear your feedback once you have seen the car, particularly in relation to your current model.

  5. When the Auris had a Minor Model Change in June, the trim levels were re-aligned to Active, Icon, Icon Plus and Excel, with the Sport trim level being dropped.
Now with the 2014 Yaris, Toyota have dropped the Icon Plus trim level and replaced it with the Sport.
Isn’t this a bit confusing for your customers?

    1. Hello Mike
Good point. Thanks for your post and we appreciate your comments. We do revise our specification so that we remain competitive in our line up and make sure that the walk through each model offers clear and logical pogression from one grade to the next. Some grade renaming may also be undertaken depending on the features being offered and if the Sport monikor is appropriate to use.
Hope this helps but let us know if any other questions.

  6. I need a rear spoiler and high intensity headlights for my 2014 Yaris Icon. Is this possible and how much will it cost.

    1. Hi Kenny
Thanks for your post and we have checked these details with the product team. High Intensity Headlamps are not available for Yaris unfortunately however with regard to a rear spoiler we have this roof spoiler available. Click on link to see this as well as cost.

Hope this helps but let us know if you have any other questions.

  7. Have gone over the models specs in details and the Yaris is most impressive in each features. However above all the factor which really makes a difference is the online experience for a potential buyer to understand the cars features and accessories in depth, even before he has visited the local dealer.
