Meanwhile, if you need help getting started with Touch & Go, you can watch our how-to videos here. Alternatively, you can register your system, here.

Q1 – Why can’t I find the device ID on my Touch & Go/Touch & Go+?

A – To obtain the device ID on Touch & Go or Touch & Go+ press the “Set up” hard button.  Touch the “General” button on the screen.  Scroll to the bottom screen and select Touch “System information”.  The device ID should now be visible on the screen.

For Toyota Touch Pro, press the “Set up” hard button, touch “Navigation” on the screen and then touch “Online search”.

Q2 – Why isn’t the device ID not recognised on the portal?

A – The device ID on T&G and T&G+ is a 26 digit code which can be made up of numbers letters and symbols. When the ID is entered on the customer portal it needs to be exactly as it shows on the T&G including observing upper and lower case and any symbols like underscores etc but without any spaces.

Q3 – Why don’t connected services work on my 2012 Toyota Prius, Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser V8 and Lexus GS, RX or CT?

A – Your device may not be compatible. A Bluetooth compatibility list for Toyota is available here and here for Lexus.

Q4 – Why is the address I want to navigate to missing?

A – The address could be missing from the mapping, unfortunately there is no way to guarantee that it will be added during the next update.

Q5 – Does my car have the latest map update?

A – You can view the latest available map version via the Downloads section of the T&G Toolbox.

Clicking on the map of Europe shopping trolley icon will show you the version information available, and whether or not you need to download.

Q6 – Do I have to pay for map updates?

A – All map updates are chargeable except for Touch & Go+. This system is supplied with “map care”, which provides 3 years of free map updates (up to a maximum of 6 updates).

Q7 – Do I need to take action if the date code of my new map is out of date?

A – No, the date format within the map ID is not a release date. This date is allocated to the map during the development process. Development of the map can take up to a year.

Q8 – Why won’t my phone connect to the Touch & Go Bluetooth?

A – Your phone may not be compatible. You can check compatibility for Toyota vehicles here, and Lexus vehicles here.

If your phone is listed as compatible but still won’t connect – try deleting the phone/Touch & Go pairing  and reconnecting.

Q9 – Why isn’t the music on my USB stick playing through Touch & Go?

A – There are quite specific requirements for what is “playable media”. You can find this information in the “Audio system operation” section of your owner’s manual.

If  your USB stick is compatible but the music is still not playing, there could be a fault with the stick and you should try another.

If no devices are recognised when you attempt to connect them via the vehicle USB port, there could be a connection issue. You will need to have this checked over by your dealer.

Q10 – How many map updates are there per year?

A – For Touch & Go and Touch & Go+, there are 2 updates per year. For Toyota Touch Pro, there is 1.

Q11 – My phone is listed as incompatible but works with Touch & Go, why?

A – Only devices that are fully compatible with Touch & Go are listed as compatible.  Some functions can work partially with certain phones, but these would not be listed.

  1. I’m looking to buy a second-hand Auris Touring Sports Excel hybrid. Some questions:
    1. Am I correct that models from May 2014 onwards have the “Touch 2 and Go” software (but before that it was the old “Touch and go” and that it cannot be upgraded)?
    2. If I’m viewing a car, is there an easy way to tell which version it has?
    3. What are the benefits of Touch 2 and go against the older software?

  2. I have just updated my maps on my 2012 RAV4. I now have software version 2.17.0WL and map id EUL20171025 and I have lost the ability to input a 6 digit postcode, it will only let me put in BL9 8. Please tell me what is happening and how I can change this

  3. Hi I have a 2013(62reg) toyota yaris tr,I looking to install maps on it but it doesn’t show the scroll down part in general setting and I can’t find system setting to obtain the device id,what do I need to do to install maps? It currently says”map not installed”

    Thanks

    1. Hi Henry,

      Thanks for getting in touch.

The vehicle isn’t fitted with a navigation unit. Therefore, you will need to take it to your local Toyota Centre for a quote to have one installed.

      Hope this helps.

    2. Mine is the same I found a site on Toyota u have to register the car through. I haven’t tried it yet mine also states not installed.but I’m wondering I have found a sd card slot in my glove box on the left top side u have to put ur head in to see it lol next to a USB plug I’m wondering if a map sd card would work

  4. I have a C-HR with a Touch2 Go Plus media & navigation system. I can’t work out how to set the volume level for the satnav. I can do the media setting ok but when I do it affects the satnav volume. Surely the volume level for each function is a separate setting. eg music level low/satnav level high. So not to miss navigation instruction. I must be missing something!

    1. Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch. To set the volume of your satnav, display the general settings screen and select ‘Volume settings’. Here you will see an option called ‘Navigation prompt volume’.

      We hope this helps.

  5. Hi Karen,

Thanks for getting in touch. Can you please provide us with a registration number/VIN for your vehicle and we can look into this further for you.

    Thanks.

      1. Hi Karen,

Thanks for getting back to us, if you already have a sat nav but need to update it, you can do so by downloading the Toolbox application via My Toyota. If you don’t have a sat nav, you would need to install an additional part to enable this in your vehicle. This can be arranged by contacting your local Toyota centre.

        Thanks.

    1. Hi there,

If you could please provide a reg or VIN number, we will be able to assist you further.

      Thanks.

  6. Hello,

My touch and go system is working fine apart from the USB audio. The screen is frozen and won’t play music from my USB anymore. Everything else on the radio works fine. Is there a way that I can reset it?

    Diki

    1. Hi Diki,

Thanks for sharing this with us. We have discussed your query with our team and while it is possible for it to be reset, we would recommend visiting your nearest Toyota centre as they will be best placed to investigate this further. You can find your nearest centre via this link: https://fal.cn/34wxy

      Thanks.

  7. I’m trying to register my Toyota Touch & Go but the customer portal keeps telling me the Device ID is invalid. I’ve checked and triple checked. Special characters are correct, capitalisation is correct, not including space between the ID segments.

Its a 2014 Yaris, running software version 2.8.4L.

    Any advice?

    1. Hi Christopher,

Thanks for getting in touch with us. Could you please provide us with your reg? This will allow us to look into this further with our multimedia team.

      Thanks.
