  1. i have lost the master key to my auris and would like to get another one, is that possible, can the computer be reprogramed

    1. Hi Linda,
      Thank you for contacting us.
A new master key can be supplied but other components will also need to be replaced. We advise contacting your local dealer as they’ll be able to guide you through the process. You can locate your local dealer by visiting: http://bit.ly/16WmR5P.
      Hope this helps,
      Many thanks.

      1. marc replied to my question about replacing the masterkey and mentioned that other components would have to be replaced. how much is this likely to cost??? llnda

      2. Hi Linda
Thanks for getting back in touch. I’m afraid we can’t really expand upon our previous reply and in order to provide you with the best advice we suggest you get a quote from your Toyota dealer: http://bit.ly/16WmR5P.
The reason being this specific repair, a cost estimate can vary dependant on the age and model of vehicle and dealer labour rate. Lost keys and subsequent repairs are not one of our fixed price repairs because of the number of variants. The dealer would also need to confirm which key type has been mislaid and whether or not the car’s ECU (the car’s computer) will need replacing. I’m sorry we can’t provide you with more help on this occasion.
        Thanks for posting.

    1. Hi Malc,
Many thanks for your question and hope you’re enjoying your new Auris.
The volume cannot be increased on the parking sensors so it may be worth getting the vehicle checked by a Dealer to confirm it is working to the correct level. To find your local dealers contact information please visit: http://bit.ly/16WmR5P.
We hope this helps, many thanks.

  2. What is the cold car tire pressure required for the back and front wheels? The manual doesn’t say.

    1. Hi Nadia,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
The cold tyre pressures can be found on pages 714-715 in the owners manual.
      Hope this helps,
      Many thanks.

      1. My Owners manual stops at page 616. Tyre pressures on page 583.

Seems that 33psi front and rear is the official pressures even though the tyres look half flat at that pressure.

As the Auris TS isn’t offered with a 2 litre diesel engine, why is it included in the manual..?

      2. Hi Harry
        Thanks for your post.
If you are concerned about the setting of your tyre pressures then we do recommend contacting your local dealer so they can check your vehicle for you. The vehicle handbook will include other models which are not destined for our market which explains why a 2.0-litre diesel is quoted.
        Hope this helps.

  3. its the key with the buttons and the car will be three years old in august, does this help to give me a ball park figure??

    1. Hi Linda

Thanks again for the post. As mentioned, you would get an exact quote from a Toyota dealer following an inspection and a thorough understanding of the work needed. At Toyota GB we do not undertake sales or repairs but instead empower the Toyota dealer network to provide this advice. If you would like us to provide you with an idea of the work that may be required together with a anticipated cost we can try to do so. However we need some further information which we would ask you send to us privately (toyota.contact@tgb.toyota.co.uk).

Please be aware any information we provide would not be a confirmed estimate or quotation, and parts required would still need to be checked by a Toyota dealer for absolute clarification.

      Please send us the following:

      Your name
      Vehicle registration:
      Vehicle model:
VIN (17 digit Vehicle Identification Number)
Description / confirmation of the lost key

      Thank you in anticipation

  4. I want a spare wheel for my Auris but nobody is seeling them are Toyota missing a trick

    1. Hi Christine,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
We advise speaking with our Customer Relations team as they’ll be able to investigate this further for you. Please find their contact details here: http://bit.ly/bO71f4.
      Many thanks.

  5. Christine. I made it a requirement of my buying a new Auris that I have a spare wheel. The dealer checked that a spacesaver from the old Auris would fit onto the hub. I then checked that it will fit in the boot under the floor if you remove the large polystyrene inset. I am happily driving around with it so fitted. Ignore the reply you got.

  6. I have loaded a 4 gb memory stick up with music and it wont play through the stereo when inserted in the usb socket on the new auris.Nothing wrong with the memory stick has i have tried two no success with either any suggesstions.

    1. Hi Malc,
May we suggest you check that the files are compatible with the Touch / T&G. The playable formats and BIT rates ETC are listed in the owners manual. Touch (without navigation) is at the start of the manual and Touch & Go (with navigation) is at the back. If this doesn’t work, there may be a connection issue at the back of the T&G but a Toyota Dealer would need to check this.
      Many thanks.

  7. Thanks for the info on the memory stick the music was loaded in the wrong format as soon as they was changed to mp3 format and reloaded it worked fine thanks Malc.

  8. hello. i tried to change the license bulbs on my Toyota Auris 2013 to put led but i couldn’t find the way to remove the old ones. can you please tell me with steps or with images what i must do exactly to change them correct? because i don’t want to make a mistake and damage something on the rear bumper and later i need to change other parts. waiting your respond. thanks

    1. Hi Ploutis,
Thanks for getting in touch. Information on how to change the license plate lights can be found in Section 6-3 “Do-it-yourself maintenance” of the owners manual which includes pictures. Hope this helps.

  9. I have an Auris Icon 1.6 petrol, 2 months old. Does anybody else think that the engine is noisy? When I start it up it sounds like a diesel, and although it does quieten down eventually, it is still noisier than my old Auris, which was also a 1.6 petrol. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I heard that Toyota fitted extra soundproofing to all except the entry-level version of the new model. Was this because they were aware that it is noisier, or is it just that my particular car needs attention? The car is OK in other respects – say 8 out of 10.

    1. Hi Ken,
Our technical team advise taking your vehicle to your nearest Toyota Dealer and asking them to do a back to back test as they have not heard of any previous noise troubles with this model. This will ensure the technicians at the dealership experience this first hand and can diagnose this for you. to find your local Toyota Dealer please visit: http://bit.ly/16WmR5P.
      Hope this helps.
