Hi,
i would like to know how the song library can be reset on the audio system. Every time a new USB is inserted with mp3 songs these are added to the list. Is it possible to empty the list ?
Thanks,
Christos
Hello Christos
Thanks for post.
Just had a quick word with technical. Can you provide a few more details? We would need vehicle model and grade along with age and the system which you have in your car. Will help us to reply more conclusively.
Thanks
Thanks David,
i tried with another USB stick and the songs are now displayed correctly.
I think it was some kind of incompatibility. The USB stick that didn’t work well was
a Flash Voyager mini 16GB made by Corsair. My software version is reported
as 2.7.4L.
Regards,
Christos
Hello Christos,
I did receive a reply on this from technical who said that the issues are due to changes Apple have made to their systems.
They have suggested to try deleting the Bluetooth pairing with your car and the phone and then re-pair the phone to the Touch and Go. This may help but not too sure. Let us know. I have also seen your further post regarding listening to a USB and Sat Nav operation and we are checking this as well.
Hope this helps.
Since upgrading iPhone software to iOS 7 it’s not working very well with Toyota Touch. The system won’t pick up to play music from phone straight away and I now have to pick up phone to select playlist / song and the steering wheel controls to skip forwards and backwards don’t work nor the buttons on the Touch.
Hi David
Thanks for your post.
Just to let you know we are running this past our technical team and should have a response on Monday regarding this.
Hope this helps.
Hello!
I am having the same trouble with touch after upgrading my iPhone 5 software. The buttons on the steering wheel do not work, I cannot select tracks or press play or pause! Only had my car a week! Please help!!!! 🙁
Hi Kelly
If this is in relation to the post by Christos our advice from technical was that the issues are due to changes Apple have made to their systems.
They have suggested to try deleting the Bluetooth pairing with your car and the phone and then re-pair the phone again. This may help but not too sure. Let us know.
When using a USB to listen to mp3 can you use the SATNAV as well ?
I noticed the system reset a couple of times while doing that. SATNAV works fine
on its own. Is this due to the load or some other reason ?
Thanks,
Christos

Hello
Could someone tell me how do I get the sound on on my sat nav on the Toyota touch not the touch and go.
It will really help
Thanks, Bilal
Hi Bilal
Thanks for post and just need to clarify the question.
Toyta Touch is a display which has audio features which does not include satellite navigation, to have this option it needs to be Toyota Touch and Go. Let us know which system you have and we can liaise with technical for you.
Hope this helps.
Read a comment about playing music from the USB port on the T&G whilst using the Sat Nav (go) feature. All worked fine on my 4 month old Auris.
A few additional features I would like to see on the Touch and Go
Option to mute music when spoken command from Sat Nav.
Basic Navigation commands repeated on display panel in between dash dials
Browse music by folder when using USB stick
Press the Back key to return back to music list when playing music from USB.
An icon showing the Bluetooth is paired, sometimes I forget to switch-on Bluetooth on my phone and have a issue when a call is received…would be shown on all screens.
Keep up the good work…thanks Geoff
Thanks Geoff
We appreciate your feedback about using T&G and how this can be improved.
Best wishes
Hi, I have just bought new Yaris Trend. Fantastic car but cant get the radio to mute whilst taking phone call. It mutes whilst the phone is ringing but once answered the radio volume goes back up. please help. thamks Robert
Hi Rob
Thanks for your post.
Glad you are enjoying your Yaris Trend and we had to run your question past our technical team. They have suggested to try deleting your Bluetooth pairing out of the Touch & Go with the phone and then re-pair this. If this doesn’t work then try using another phone. If no joy here then we would need to know more information such as what software version the Touch & Go is on and what phone you are using (a software version for this would be good too).
Hope this helps.
Hello
I like the Touch & Go, but some possible improvements:
It would be nice if the system briefly showed the name of the new song when changing or skipping to a new song when using SatNav; like when adjusting the fan.
If I have a memory-stick with MP3 songs plugged in the USB-port and I e.g listening to the radio when I turn off the ignition; when I turn on the ignition again I briefly hear the radio before the USB auto-start playing MP3s, that should be optional, not default.
Otherwise super system.
Hello Fredrik
Thank you for your post regarding Touch & Go.
I have run your comments past out technical team and with regard to your first point we will be running this past our product team in Europe for consideration during future product reviews. With regard to your second point, this may be due to the speed of your USB stick as the unit will always need to register that a USB stick is plugged in before defaulting to this, which may be causing this to happen.
Hi again, thank you for the reply, it was not actually the brief time before the USB memory stick starts to play I tried to comment, but that the system automatically switches to USB when I previously listened to the radio. Of course I could plug and unplug the USB memory stick, but I would rather like to keep the USB memory stick plugged in, but not automatically starting to play each time I turn on the ignition. I guess Touch an Go have to detects the USB memory stick so it can check for updates and make it selectable in the media list, but if possible it would be nice if it was optional to automatically start playing MP3.
Hi Fredrik
Thanks for your post. Sorry for the delay in replying.
Having spoken to technical they are aware of two issues that can cause situations like this. One is due to the speed of the USB stick, a slower speed stick can cause the system to default to USB, the other is an incompatibility issue with certain software versions. We would need to find out what map and software version of Touch & Go you have in your car to provide more information on this.
Hope this helps.
Hi I bought a 2013 Yaris with Touch and Go and I was told that I could download my music onto a USB memory stick in MP3 format and plug it in the car to play but on my display screen the USB isn’t highlighted what am I doing wrong.
Please help.
Hi Linda
Thanks for your post. We have run this past our technical team.
The stick needs to be a FAT 32 formatted USB stick and the MP3s on the stick need to comply with the specifications detailed in the “Audio system operation” section of the owners manual. They have also suggested that you try using an iPod or phone connected to the USB to confirm that there is no issue with the connection between the USB socket in the glove box and the Navigation unit.
Hope this helps.
I went into the Toyota dealer who have sorted it out the problem was that when I had the Sat Nav put in it wasn’t connected properly so they took it into the workshop and connected it and now it works.
Hi Linda
Thanks for letting us know.
