Toyota Touch 2
Got a question about the new Toyota Touch 2 system – being rolled out across various Toyota models in 2014 – then take a look at our dedicated Touch 2 section by clicking the link below.
What has happened to the Touch and Go portal: https://customerportal.toyota-europe.com/public/SetLangCookie.aspx?languageid=en-GB&go=/public/Login.aspx – web page 404 warning not found – have tried over last 12 hours?
Hi Richard,
We understand there may be issues with the site which are currently being worked on. Please do check back shortly and we hope it’ll be running smoothly. Please accept our apologies for causing any frustration.
Many thanks.
This isn’t at all funny now people, firstly we have a very poor ‘Toolbox’ program which doesn’t work, or maybe it does after initial install, then whenyou try to download it it comes packaged with lots of spyware programs and browsers add ons (is there a safe link) and now the whole things is missing. Not as reliable as the cars obviously……………………………
I am unable to register touch and go on Toyota Yaris I have bought
Hello Misbah,
Many thanks for getting in touch and we’re sorry you’re having trouble registering your T&G system.
Here’s the link to the section where you can both find further information about registering and also the registration form: http://ow.ly/l6dsw.
If you’d like to speak with someone on the telephone to help you, please speak with the Toyota Customer Care Centre: 0844 701 6202.
Many thanks and kind regards.
I am trying to select destinations on Google and then transfer them to my Touch and Go via USB. According to Jason Bradbury’s video I go to the Toyota website and then to the Touch and Go section.
I can find no Touch and Go section and certainly nothing like the screen that is shown in his video. After going through all the tortuous procedures of registering for the site and copying in the intricacies of the T and G identification code I find it very frustrating that nothing seems to be as described by him. I did find the drop down menu on Google for choosing an appropriate make of car but Toyota is not even listed, even though it appears on his video.
Can someone tell me how this works? I am driven to it because pinpointing a precise destination on the car system which does not even allow a complete postcode to be entered, is proving light years behind the Tomtom of my previous Yaris.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Hi Rodney,
We’re sorry for the trouble you’ve had using the Google Search functionality on the Touch & Go system. Please see a guide to using this feature as follows:
Go to ‘maps.google.co.uk’ and type in your required postcode in the Search box. Google will return your search on the left hand side.
Select ‘More’, ‘Send’ and ‘Car’ from the options displayed. There will then be a ‘Make’ field, from the dropdown box ‘Toyota’ can then be selected.
If you are not seeing the brand name, we suggest trying another postcode.
If it is not highlighted this would be an issue with Google Maps itself. Full postal code search is available on the Touch & Go.
We hope this helps, if you are still having problems please let us know any further details and we’ll continue to look into this for you. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding the Touch & Go videos, we have passed this onto our Marketing team for consideration in the future development of these materials.
Many thanks.
Thank you for your advice. I have made some progress. Selected a spot on Google Maps, was then sent to Toyota portal, entered this and is then tells me the’ send to car’ procedure has been successful and promptly returns me to Google Maps.
Where do I go from here when all I want is to put the info on a USB stick?
Thanks
Hi Rodney,
The next steps in the process would be to log onto your Touch & Go portal account: http://ow.ly/l8w0w. Click on the “My Trips” tab and the destination should be listed. Click on the USB icon to copy the destination to your USB stick.
Insert the USB into the car and download using the “Enter destination” and “Load from USB” options in the navigation menu.
We hope this helps, if you have any further questions please let us know.
Many thanks.
Hi Customer Services, I have made seval ‘comments’ on this blog and not had much of a reply, the touch and go program doesn’t work, so for me renders the whole thing useless, I asked for a safe link to download it (as Richard suggested) and re-install, no answer, I asked if the reversing guidelines can be introduced by way of an upgrade, purchsed or otherwise, no answer!!
Hi Mark,
We’re sorry that you’ve had to write as you’re not getting the responses you require.
Unfortunately reversing guidelines can’t be added to the system by means of an upgrade. Your Dealer can give you advice about setting up your T&G software, either over the telephone or if you pop in. They’ll be able to show you aspects of the system and give advice about upgrades first hand, which many customers find useful.
The blog is monitored by the social media team and we endeavour to reply to customers here as efficiently as we are able. If you wish to contact Customer Relations, you’re able to here: http://ow.ly/l8sXF.
We hope this helps, many thanks.
Hi Oliwer, Thanks, but I feel you have completely missed my point somewhat. I don’t need to visit the dealer I know how the software works if you had read my previous posts you would understand. The touch and go software on my pc, worked once and now does not respond, Richard posted on here that the same happened with him and he had to reload the software to his pc for yet another ‘once only use’ I was asking if this has/will be resolved and where can I download the program free of any adware that seems to be in the versions I’m finding. RE Registering the system is a tedious task that is time consuming and that was my point. Do I need to take my pc to the dealer to fix this, is that what you are suggesting? Obviously not, so please can you read the posts and provide constructive advice. The T & Go + in my prius is superb but these added niggles aren’t worthy of a Toyota logo!!
Hello Amy,
Thank you for your helpful advice. I managed to follow the procedure, got the destinations on my USB, plugged it into the car and pressed Download from Usb only to get the message “Cannot read data”.
I think I give up at this point.
Thanks
Rodney
Still unable to log in to the Toyota Portal and trying to start from scratch there the UK is no longer listed at all i.e. https://customerportal.toyota-europe.com/login/index.html
Come on Toyota sort this out, how long is needed. Very disappointed, not very efficient or professional.
I purchased my new Toyota Verso on the 8th of April.
Car is fantastic BUT the one thing I wanted to do was play my ipod through the Touch and Go
system.
I have a Ipod 30gb Classic with software version 1.3
The Ipod plays BUT freezes every so often. It does not jump, just seems to hesitate.
I took it back to the dealership who after a week said that their technical side said this was due to software compatability, and that I should contact Apple to have my software version downgraded on the Ipod. Apple said they do not support that sort of thing.
When I spoke to the dealership I suggested that the only solution was for me to buy a new Ipod.
They said…we can’t promise that will work either!!!!!!!!!!!!
Help! All i want is to play my Ipod with no problems.
If I have to by a new Ipod, which version of the Classic can I safely by so that it will play ok. Also how can I be sure that I have go the correct version and software. They are not cheap and I don’t want to waste good money, having spent so much on the car and Touch and Go.
Regards,
Mick
Hi Mick,
Thanks for getting in touch and we hope you’re enjoying your new Verso.
We’re sorry for the problems you’ve had when playing your iPod Classic with the Touch & Go. Our technical tests have shown that the fifth generation iPod Classic can experience this issue. Unfortunately this is due to the Apple hardware/software and so why we are unable to offer a fix. If you have not already done so, we suggest using a genuine Apple USB lead, which may help to reduce the frequency of this issue. For other generations of the iPod Classic, we recommend using the latest software version.
We’re sorry we have not been able to help further here. If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Kind regards.
