Meanwhile, if you need help getting started with Touch & Go, you can watch our how-to videos here. Alternatively, you can register your system, here.
Q1 – Why can’t I find the device ID on my Touch & Go/Touch & Go+?
A – To obtain the device ID on Touch & Go or Touch & Go+ press the “Set up” hard button. Touch the “General” button on the screen. Scroll to the bottom screen and select Touch “System information”. The device ID should now be visible on the screen.
For Toyota Touch Pro, press the “Set up” hard button, touch “Navigation” on the screen and then touch “Online search”.
Q2 – Why isn’t the device ID not recognised on the portal?
A – The device ID on T&G and T&G+ is a 26 digit code which can be made up of numbers letters and symbols. When the ID is entered on the customer portal it needs to be exactly as it shows on the T&G including observing upper and lower case and any symbols like underscores etc but without any spaces.
Q3 – Why don’t connected services work on my 2012 Toyota Prius, Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser V8 and Lexus GS, RX or CT?
A – Your device may not be compatible. A Bluetooth compatibility list for Toyota is available here and here for Lexus.
Q4 – Why is the address I want to navigate to missing?
A – The address could be missing from the mapping, unfortunately there is no way to guarantee that it will be added during the next update.
Q5 – Does my car have the latest map update?
A – You can view the latest available map version via the Downloads section of the T&G Toolbox.
Clicking on the map of Europe shopping trolley icon will show you the version information available, and whether or not you need to download.
Q6 – Do I have to pay for map updates?
A – All map updates are chargeable except for Touch & Go+. This system is supplied with “map care”, which provides 3 years of free map updates (up to a maximum of 6 updates).
Q7 – Do I need to take action if the date code of my new map is out of date?
A – No, the date format within the map ID is not a release date. This date is allocated to the map during the development process. Development of the map can take up to a year.
Q8 – Why won’t my phone connect to the Touch & Go Bluetooth?
A – Your phone may not be compatible. You can check compatibility for Toyota vehicles here, and Lexus vehicles here.
If your phone is listed as compatible but still won’t connect – try deleting the phone/Touch & Go pairing and reconnecting.
Q9 – Why isn’t the music on my USB stick playing through Touch & Go?
A – There are quite specific requirements for what is “playable media”. You can find this information in the “Audio system operation” section of your owner’s manual.
If your USB stick is compatible but the music is still not playing, there could be a fault with the stick and you should try another.
If no devices are recognised when you attempt to connect them via the vehicle USB port, there could be a connection issue. You will need to have this checked over by your dealer.
Q10 – How many map updates are there per year?
A – For Touch & Go and Touch & Go+, there are 2 updates per year. For Toyota Touch Pro, there is 1.
Q11 – My phone is listed as incompatible but works with Touch & Go, why?
A – Only devices that are fully compatible with Touch & Go are listed as compatible. Some functions can work partially with certain phones, but these would not be listed.

I am very disappointed to find that having just had a T&G fitted at the main dealer – it was ordered in from toyota – that the versionb is 2.4.7 even though I understand that the latest version is already 3.2.1 !
I beleive that this means I miss out on some functions
Hi Fran
Thanks for your post.
The latest version is 2.8.4, if the unit was fitted after the end of October and we would recommend that you contact the supplying dealer about resolving this, if this is the case.
Hope this helps.
Is there still no Mac version of the toolbox?
Hi Bernd
You are correct. There is no Mac version at present.
Is there any firmware updates available for Toyota Touch? Or is it just for T&G/T&G+?
Hi Robert
Thanks for your post.
Just to confirm the updates are only for Touch & Go and Touch & Go + (for satnav updates).
Hope this helps.
Is there a possibility to upgrade regular audio system of Avensis T27 2009year to Toyota Touch?
What parts and adapters may I require for this.
Thanks
Hi Robert
Thanks for your post.
Unfortunately it is not possible to retro fit a 2009 Avensis to Toyota Touch, there are several reasons but it is mainly due to the incompatibility of the fittings and fixtures required.
Hello, what’s up about toolbox for mac ?

Hi Yohan
Thanks for your post.
Unfortunately Toolbox is not available for the Mac at present. We are looking into this but no news at present.
Hello,
could You please give the scheme of the pins on those not matching connectors in the photo(T270 year 2009) as well as for Toyota Touch connectors?

Thank You
Hi Robert
Thanks for your post and link and we have run your request past out technical team.
This modification is not something we would recommend as we did not manufacture an accessory navigation unit for your vehicle. If you do want to see wiring diagrams and connector information then this can be found on the following web site: http://www.toyota-tech.eu
Hope this helps.
Why is the alphabet in the touch and go keyboard on a t4 avens is not all upper case. Lower case is difficult to identify
Hi Douglas
Thanks for your post.
The keyboard can be in upper or lower case but if you can provide us with some more vehicle details (eg VIN or chassis number) then we will look into this further for you.

i have a yaris 2012 with touch and go ,How does it update please???
How do i update my touch and go its a yaris 2012
Hello Stuart
Thanks for your post.
In terms of software updates these are undertaken by your local Toyota dealer, if you get in touch with them they can check the version in your car against any updates for you. If you are unsure where your nearest dealer is located, we have a dealer finder facitlity on our website, http://www.toyota.co.uk.
Hope this helps.
