What about former Toyota centres?

Occasionally, it may be necessary for existing Toyota centres to move premises or even cease trading. In such rare circumstances, Toyota would like to reassure you that provisions will have already been made so that customers experience minimal disruption to our award-winning service.

Customers with vehicles on order will have their delivery and handover arranged either through another branch within the same dealer group, or at an alternative Toyota centre. If a customer purchased a service plan with a group that has subsequently ceased trading for Toyota, this arrangement will continue to be honoured within the same dealer group. Those who purchase national service plans from Toyota are able to transfer them across dealer groups.

  1. With Struan in Perth (and in Dundee, though that’s not near me) losing their franchise in November, I’m going to be a l-o-n-g way from any other dealer. Are there plans to have another franchise in the perth area to replace Struans?

  2. Hello. We have heard about possible plans for a new Toyota dealership in Ayr at Heathfield. Are you able to confirm what Toyota’s plans are regarding this please?     We would need your help in receiving the Electronic Service Book/ Service History for our car that we’ve bought in September 2022 – a slightly used Toyota Yaris 1.5 VVT-I, Petrol, Bi-tone year: 2017 from Arnold Clark – Alexandra Parade, Glasgow.
    We asked for the service history: they told us to contact Toyota directly for the full service history.
    Then was told that it might show it online: hence, we then register and downloaded the MyT – Toyota App but it only shows when the car was handed over and when an optional accessory was fitted onto it in the beginnings.
    Otherwise, we have only 1 or 2 services made at Arnold Clark in the booklet itself and the App constantly says that our service is overdue, which it isn’t as we took it to Arnold Clark for our service last September, and we’re due for another one this September, but that wasn’t updated online neither. I wrote an email with these details and with details of our car’s VIN etc. to Macklin Motors ( this was over 4 months ago. We haven’t received any reply. We have also written to this next email address: – still no reply. Not even an automated reply.
    I have worked for multinational companies in complaints department and several other customer service job roles during the past 13 years, and I understand that sometimes you might get overwhelmed by emails and it is not an easy job – but, to not receive a reply in 4 months is something that I would’ve not expected from Toyota customer services.

    Furthermore, our ICE – Toyota’s Touch 2 touchscreen multimedia system is unresponsive many times. I tried upgrading it by connecting it to the interner, but it did not solve the issue.
    Please let us know if you could help us with these issues as it is frustrating not knowing what exactly was and what wasn’t done to the car until now.

      We have recently moved to the MyToyota app which features a black logo, please make sure you are using this option. We’d also recommend contacting the Multimedia Team, as if there is missing service history from the profile, this can be easily added once confirmed with the Toyota Centre who carried out the work. They can be contacted on and please make sure to include your contact and vehicle details.

      You can also mention the issues with unresposivness, although this wil also need to be investigated in person by your local Toyota Centre.
