Toyota Corolla 60th Anniversary special edition
The Toyota Corolla 60th Anniversary hatchback is a limited edition model built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK and available to order from Toyota centres from October 2026.

This limited-run model is immediately distinguished by its exclusive Boreal Blue metallic paintwork, presented in a bi-tone execution with a contrasting Eclipse Black roof and pillars. Its special status is also expressed in new-look ten-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels that feature a contrasting matt and machined finish with black chrome wheel nuts.
Silver garnishes are applied on the lower front bumper and lower edge of the doors. Meanwhile, contrasting dark-plated elements feature around the upper door trims, fog light surrounds and rear bumper corners. Externally, the finishing touch is provided by stylish matt silver 60th Anniversary decals on the lower edge of the rear doors.

Inside the car there are sleek matt silver scuff plates bearing the 60th Anniversary logo on the front door sills, and front and rear carpet mats in black textile with coordinating matt silver inserts.

Good Morning John,
In line with customer preference, the new Hilux will only be produced in Double Cab body style with five seats and all-wheel drive transmission.

Kind regards.
well in 36 yeare of being ahilux single and extra cab owner it looks like i will be going elsewere i find it shocking that you are going down that route its obvious youre not interested in the farming and utillity market looks like youre going after the chelsea tractor market years ago people who had a pickup were workers now you are just after the upmarket green welly brigade next thing to happen no pickup body just another row of kiddies seats northumbria water northern power grid all used them shame on toyota pickups were allways a work horse not now green welly brigade
Morning Stephen,
What is it about the new Hilux that is putting you off?
Thank you.
Oh Toyota, what have you done!
I currently have the 2024 Corolla 197 Excel 2L in Super Green and I love it. Excellent mpg, all leather, heads-up, etc., etc. So good, it is our 8th Toyota in about as many years (his & hers), but only one issue, I could not have an option of a pan roof with Bi-tone black roof when I ordered it, so I had to settle for a Bi-tone.
I love the look of the colour on the 60th in the photos’ but as a Ltd Special Edition I would have expected the engine to be 197hp. along with other advantages available in my current Excel. Why have you, it seems, cut so many corners when we know you reached excellence with my 2024 Corolla Excel? You are using what looks like cheap stickers for the “60th” and not chrome badging similar to the tailgate badges, and replaced the attractive chrome effect trims for “black chrome”. What is this about? The sill plates and mats are something I usually pay a few hundred pounds for, along with rear bumper plate and boot protector.
While I write these opinions, can someone explain why we cannot get the “sporty looking” version of the Corolla that the USA are so lucky to have? I have waited patiently to order one, but the best you seem to come up with is a tweak of the current standard UK model, which is very well built in the UK. You gave us the Yaris Circuit, etc., but denied us the (USA) Corolla versions of the sporty Yaris.
I am so disappointed at Toyota apparently failing to offer what the UK market is crying out for (dare I say Hot Hatch), and not keeping up with the Manufacturers like VW (Golf R) and BMW. You celebrate the 60th year with what seems an “also ran”, but please, look at the UK market demands/preferences and stay at the top of what you do. We do like our power and brightwork!
In conclusion, I have had over 55years in the motor industry, at all levels, so, whilst every day is a school day, I have some idea. In spite of the above, I will still look at the 60th when it lands at the Dealership.
Best regards
