When will the new Auris first appear in the showrooms?
THe old Auris Colour Collection 1.6 M/M had turn in door mirrors, cruise control, dusk sensing headlights, rain sensing wipers. rear camera, easy entry and start as NO COST STANDARD. These are only standard on the Excel model which is £6.000 more than the old one. WHY?
Couldn’t agree with you more, Neil. Please see my posting of 25 Sept. Toyota seem to think these are exotic items of kit, to be restricted to top-of-the-range only. I have been waiting for the new Auris for some time, but sadly it seems to be a case of overpriced and under-equipped. Now where’s that Qashqai brochure?
Hi John,
The new Toyota Auris should appear in showrooms close to when it goes on sale in December.
The exact date on which the car will arrive in your local centre will vary, so please speak to them closer to that date to find out when you can see it. Follow this link to get their contact details.
Hope that helps!
Will
Thank you Will, December is not that far off, we can wait.
Hi Ken,
Toyota hasn’t yet announced which equipment will be optionally available for each version of the new Auris, so we can’t answer your question just yet. We will get back to you as soon as we can, though.
Sorry if this isn’t the answer you’re after.
Regards,
Will
Hi Alex,
Glad to hear you like the new Auris!
As you can probably imagine, the focus within Toyota at the moment is very much on this new model and as far as we can tell, there are no immediate plans for a three-door model or a successor to the Corolla T-Sport.
However, Akio Toyoda has repeatedly stated his aim to make Toyotas more sporty, so who knows what new models might be coming in the future.
Sorry we can’t give you any concrete information right now.
Thanks,
Will
Hi Mikel,
To answer your original questions. There will not be a standard sunroof available, as you have highlighted, the Skyview Panoramic roof is available as an option on the Excel grade. This grade also has heated seats as standard; although this is not an option for the other grades.
Thank you for your questions.
Hi Teej,
Adaptive Cruise Control will unfortunately not be available for the new Auris. Cruise Control is standard on the Excel grade.
We’re sorry not to be able to give you the answer you hoped for.
Many thanks.
Hi Ben,
Thanks for your question. The 1.6 Valvematic petrol engine and the Auris Hybrid will have double wishbone rear suspension. The 1.33 Dual VVT-i and 1.4 D-4D diesel engines will have torsion beam suspension.
We hope this helps.
Will the Auris Icon have climate control and will mirrors have a switch to fold them in?????
Hi Arthur,
Thanks for your question. The Auris Icon does not include these features however they do come as standard on the Auris Excel grade. You can find more specification details for the new Auris here: http://ow.ly/eoNuk.
Many thanks.
