Visioncall, a leading provider of home visiting opticians, has ordered 80 Toyota Auris hatchbacks for its fleet.
The company picked up the keys to the first of the Auris models on November 18, and the remainder will be supplied through fleet management specialists Arval, over the next three years.
All of Visioncall’s stylish Auris models are Active grades, and are powered by Toyota’s peppy 1.4 D-4D diesel engine. The SDM Toyota Centre in Falkirk will supply the models.
Built at Toyota’s UK car plant in Derbyshire, the Auris hatchback is the only car in its class to be offered with petrol, diesel and full hybrid powertrains. The 1.4 D-4D diesel model specified by Visioncall boasts official combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km, qualifying for zero annual road tax (VED) and low benefit-in-kind company car tax rates.
On the Auris, Brian McGuire, Visioncall Group Managing Director, said: “We were impressed by Auris, it meets our requirements in terms of design, quality and performance. The data presented to us by SDM on running costs and the contract hire leasing rates from Arval were very competitive, making the Toyota the best all-round proposition for our fleet.”
Nicole Deacon, Business Manager at Arval said of the deal: “Visioncall has been a customer of Arval for more than nine years, during which time we have been able to deliver effective services to their drivers and enhanced online functionality through our new leasing system. We are delighted to be extending this relationship and helping them meet their business priorities with the new Toyota Auris for their vehicle fleet.”
