What if my new Toyota model isn’t listed above?
The new Toyota Urban Cruiser (below), Toyota Proace Verso and Toyota Proace City Verso are equipped with different multimedia systems to those listed above. However, they are still designed to automatically update the time using GPS satellite information.
To manually override this automatic function, follow the simple steps below:
- Urban Cruiser: touch the digital clock display on the top of the multimedia home screen to enter the time settings menu. Select Date/Time Settings then use the up/down cursors to manually adjust the hour/minute. Touch Confirm to store the new time.
- Proace Verso and Proace City Verso: select the Settings menu in the top banner of the home screen, then press the Options button to access the secondary page. Select Setting the time-date followed by pressing either the Date or Time tabs and adjust using the numeric keypad. Confirm any changes by pressing OK.

Hi I purchased a yaris cross hybrid in march of this year 2022, the clock I found when going to the settings wouldn’t stay to the changed time +1 hour when I altered it, if I untick the auto adjust with GPS it let’s you change and keep the new time, is this how you change it?

I’m a recent Yaris Cross Excel (Reg No. HG21 XFX) owner of 10 days. I am now struggling to find the correct page in the Owners/Multimedia Manual to set the correct time. The manuals only refer to the 7″ & 8″ multimedia screens and not the 9″ screen fitted to my Excel variant.

Select ‘CLOCK’ by pressing and holding the ‘DISP’ button. The hours will be highlighted, and each press of the ‘DISP’ button will advance the clock by one hour.
Wait five seconds to confirm the hours, and then use the same process to set the minutes. After setting the minutes, wait another five seconds to confirm the time.

I have a Yaris cross with a 9 inch multimedia screen. I have been trying to adjust the time now since BST ended. I have tried all the suggestions on this website but to no avail. My user guide does not show the 9 inch screen (as this is a new car I find this a bit amiss of Toyota). You refer in some of your replies to press “DISP” on the steering wheel. My Yaris does not have this function.
Although several people have also complained about this exact problem, I cannot see a reply from yourselves resolving this issue.
