What is the Toyota Auris Hybrid GB25?

In 1992 Toyota built its first car in Britain, launching a manufacturing journey that has delivered more than four million vehicles to customers in the UK, Europe and beyond. To celebrate the landmark 25th anniversary, in 2017 Toyota produced a special edition version of the Auris Hybrid, a model proudly built at its Burnaston factory and powered by an engine made at its plant in Deeside, North Wales.

It sports a distinctive bi-tone exterior paint finish, combining a contrasting black roof, front grille and door mirror casings with a choice of Tokyo Red, Pearl White or Aspen Grey bodywork. Its special status is marked out a by a ’25 years building in Britain’ badge, incorporating the Union flag.

The Toyota Safety Sense package provides active systems that can help prevent an accident happening, or lessen the consequence if an impact does occur; its features include a Pre-Crash Safety system with autonomous emergency braking, Automatic High Beam for the headlights, Road Sign Assist and Lane Departure Warning.

The efficiency of the 1.8-litre petrol-electric full hybrid powertrain helps keep ownership costs down, as well as reducing the environmental impact of day-to-day driving through low CO2 and NOx emissions. Official combined cycle figures are 72.4mpg fuel consumption and 91g/km of CO2.

The Auris Hybrid GB25 went on sale in July 2017, priced £24,045, but is no longer part of Toyota’s new car line-up.

    – what if you produce a car that is high breed and call the car(“clark kent sport’s car”)-
Think about this- what if clark kent has a car! Sir, try to assemble sports car crafted
as superman’s! For the public to see and feel that the car is really a clark kent sport’s car!

    – Also try; cyclops sports car! I believe and have faith that this would turn the world’s
appreciation if it could be realized! If there are kinds of sports car , why not create soothed for
clark kent and cyclops! Try to study this preposition! I know this can be silly but i think
in probable terms it could be marketed! That’s all, thank you!

  4. Hi Colin,

Thanks for getting back to us. We can see our customer relations team have been in touch with you and that your vehicle appears not to have any parking sensors (front or rear) from the factory nor any accessory fit sensors.

    Thanks.

  5. I picked up my GB25, brand new, on 10 October 2017. The ancillary battery died nearly 6 weeks ago and i am disappointed to find out it is not covered by the warranty and i will have to pay £130 for a new battery and although i have been given previous delivery dates i am now told the earliest delivery is 28 August 2020. Therefore, i will have been without my car since early July.
I know we are in unprecedented times but that does call for Toyota to take appropriate measures, doesn’t it?
