    1. Hi Josh,

I’m glad you enjoyed the blog, we are all excited about the launch of the Prius+ MPV.

Currently there aren’t any plans to manufacture a smaller version of the Prius, but if you are interested in a more compact hybrid then the Auris Hybrid and the Yaris Hybrid (due to be launched in 2012) would be the perfect choices.

  1. Two questions about the Pruis+:

    1. Any idea what he emissions will be?
    2. When in 2012 will it be available, and how soon can we order?

I need to order a new company car shortly, and this information may sway the balance!

  2. Hi Tim,

Currently we do not have any more information on the launch date of the Prius+, or what its emissions are likely to be. You can sign up here to keep informed of the latest news regarding Prius+.

    Thanks for your questions.

    1. Thanks, James

I just hope the information – and the car – are available before I have to order!

Have you spotted the BIK ‘minefield’ from Tax year 2012 onwards?
      – If I run a £27k car with 119g/km emissions (like the turbo diesel I’ll order if the Pruis + is not available), in Tax year 2011-12 I will be taxed at 13% of P11D value
      – In Tax Year 2012-13 I will be taxed at 18% of P11D value costing me ann extra £45/month
      – Throughout the current Pruis would be taxed at 10% only – and through to 2014 as well, saving me £27/month in 2011 compared to the turbo diesel, and £72/month in 2012!

  3. What are the service intervals on a Pruis please?

I’m a high mileage business user (4,500 per month), and currently ‘enjoy’ extended variable service intervals of about 18,000 miles between services due to the relatively easy life the car enjoys.

    1. Hi Tim,

All Toyotas require servicing at the following intervals:

      – A major service every 20,000 miles, or 24 month interval
      – A health and safety check every 10,000 miles or 12 month interval

    1. Hi Car GPS,

Glad to hear that you would like the Prius+. The Today Tomorrow Blog reports to news and stories relevant to Toyota UK. If you would like to contact Toyota Hong Kong for information, please click here.

  4. Prius+ launched at Frankfurt Show this week and reported in the motoring press.
    – emissions indicated at 99g/km
    – how soon will we have pricing and GB availability information?
I have to order a replacement company car shortly and need to know whether I have to ignore the Prius+ for another 3 years (when the upcoming car will be replaced)

    1. Hi Tim,

The Prius+ full hybrid MPV is due to launch in the UK next year. The exact launch date, pricing and grade specifications have yet to be finalised, but as soon as more information is available we will publish them here on the blog.

      Thanks for your question.

  5. Hi Tim,

Anymore news on the specific launch date for the Prius+ in the UK? 2012 is just around the corner now.

  6. Hi Vector,

Thanks for your question. The new Prius+ will be on sale from the middle of next year – we have no further detials at the moment but as soon as we do we will publish it here on the blog.
