Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow donates to Helping Hands Community Trust

Leicestershire charity Helping Hands Community Trust is the latest good cause to benefit from the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow, receiving £1,700 to help refresh the outside of its premises.

Farmer & Carlisle Toyota Leicester put Helping Hands Community Trust forward as a worthy recipient of the fund, through which Toyota provides small donations to support grassroots projects that help improve the quality of life and the environment in local communities.

Helping Hands Community Trust is a crucial operation in Leicestershire where they provide a one-stop shop with easy access to advice on benefits, welfare rights, decent housing, adequate food and clothing, advocacy, legal advice, mental health care, education, training, employment, leisure and social activities to those who are normally unable to access such services.

John Carlisle, Farmer & Carlisle Toyota’s Managing Director, said: “Every day Helping Hands is making a huge difference in local people’s lives and helping their clients take the next steps to make the right decisions for a better future.

“We’re really privileged to have Helpings Hands as part of our community and we’re delighted to be able to nominate such a fantastic initiative to help them benefit from the fund.”

Helping Hands is reliant on donations and fundraising to maintain and develop new services so raising funds to improve the building has (up until now) been very low on the priority list. The provision of new windows, security shutters, signage, exterior and interior paintwork are a must. By creating a welcoming

Both Farmer & Carlisle Toyota and Helping Hands Community Trust will work together over the next six months to refresh the Helping Hands Centre.
