RAV4 Plug-in gets November debut at Los Angeles Auto Show

The RAV4 Plug-in will make its global debut at this November’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

Building on the dynamic attributes of the TNGA platform which underpins the existing RAV4 Hybrid, the RAV4 Plug-in will add greater battery capacity to bring more EV range and more power for better acceleration to match the nimble handling capabilities of the chassis. 

Taking place on 20 November at the Los Angeles Convention Booth, Toyota will reveal more details about at its press conference. For those unable to attend, all the action from the show floor will be broadcast live, here: https://livestream.com/Toyota/2019LAAS 

The RAV4 Plug-in will become the second plug-in hybrid available in the Toyota range, joining the recently updated Prius Plug-inUK sales will start in 2020 and further information will be made available nearer the launch. Keep this page bookmarked for all the latest RAV4 Plug-in updates.

  3. Do you have any info on towing capabilities of the plug-in-Rav4? I tow a caravan and was wondering how electric cars will cope with caravanning fraternity?

      We don’t currently have full specification for this vehicle, but it will be revealed in due course.

  4. Hi, any update on the RAV4 phev in the UK? Website did say September, but this has changed to later this year.
