Toyota and Lexus are supplying a fleet of over 60 hybrids to Itec, an international print and document processing business. The deal is worth £1.5 million over three years and was secured by Agility Fleet.
The winning blend of low emissions, tax, and running costs of Toyota and Lexus hybrids helped seal the deal for Itec, and the fleet will be the first of its kind in the UK.
Itec has seven offices in the UK and more than 50 globally. The large hybrid fleet is key to its plan to reduce carbon emissions by 50 per cent over the next five years.
Agility Fleet recommended the Auris Hybrid hatchback and Auris Hybrid Touring Sports for the company’s field engineers. Senior managers and directors will take to the wheel of the Lexus CT 200h hatchback and IS 300h mid-sized executive saloon.
Nick Orme, Itec Managing Director, said: “We have taken delivery of our first half-dozen vehicles and have been delighted. All the cars are feature-rich and a joy to drive.”
Keith Townsend, Agility Fleet Managing Director, added: “A high quality company car is still seen as an important perk for recruitment and staff retention purposes. We are delighted we were able to achieve that perfect blend for Itec.”
Stuart Ferma, Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services Sales Manager, said: “To see a company of Itec’s size and reputation transforming such a large fleet to an all-hybrid solution is very exciting for us.
“Toyota has led the way in hybrid technology for more than a decade and the corporate fleet market is a key sector for us in the years ahead. Agility’s vision and expertise in this arena were key to securing this order and we are delighted to be a partner with them.”
