Toyota cyclists raise thousands for Guide Dogs

The pedalling prowess of a team of cyclists from Toyota GB is on course to raise a bumper sum for Guide Dogs, the company’s charity partner.

The 18-strong Toyota Oaks group, together with four support crew and four vehicles, set off from the company’s headquarters near Epsom, Surrey, on Friday morning (9 June), embarking on a 255-mile route that took them across the Channel and along the French coast from Caen to Le Touquet.

With online donations, direct contributions and fund-matching, the riders hope to bring in a total of around £15,000 for the charity.

Guide Dogs provides mobility, freedom and independence to people who are blind and partially sighted. The organisation has been expertly breeding and training guide dogs for more than 85 years, supplying many thousands of animals to people of all ages and from all walks of life. The charity also delivers confidence-building rehabilitation services to adults, young people and children, including long cane mobility training and help with communication and daily living skills development.
