The first new GR Yaris reviews are in! Selected UK motoring journalists were recently invited to get to grips with the revised version of our segment defining, rally-born thoroughbred a few weeks before its official reveal. What did the media think of this evolved hyper-hatch after three years of further development by Toyota Gazoo Racing engineers, master drivers, and motorsport professionals?

New GR Yaris reviews:
Autocar: “I’m driving only on a track and in disguised, not-quite-production- finished cars, but it’s a comprehensive test, with maximum hooning allowed, no co-driver or pace car and an original GR Yaris available for back-to-back testing. Toyota really isn’t working from an unsound basis, but the face-lifted car’s advantages are immediately obvious. This is the five-star car we know and, on this evidence, nothing but enhanced. One of the great current performance cars just got better.”
Auto Express: “Toyota’s comprehensive reworking of the GR Yaris… [delivers] a much lower driving position, plus a new dashboard and instruments. But there’s much more, including increased power and enhanced dynamics. An already very appealing driver’s car is now a whole heap more desirable.”
CAR: “This is a classic case of numerous small details adding up to be greater than the sum of their parts. The GR Yaris has a much-improved seating position, dash and infotainment, while its powertrain and handling make it feel more urgent and better balanced than before.”
Evo: “The new GR Yaris takes the original recipe and elevates it significantly, fixing the ergonomics, bringing a sportier interior and unlocking more of the car’s dynamic potential. It’s only January and we’ve already got a contender for Evo car of the year.”

I have heard that the New GR Yaris (MY24) will only be available to order online, is that the case? If so, how do you do that? Plus, what varients will there be & what will be the OTR price in the UK?
