Winter tyres: check in at the Toyota tyre hotel

Want to stay on the move during bad weather? Winter tyres are your best bet.

Winter tyres are designed to provide optimal safety in the cold, wet, ice and snow of the British winter. They provide much higher levels of traction and grip on slippery road surfaces and offer superior performance when temperatures drop below 7°C.

However, one of the things that puts people off winter tyres is the dilemma of what to do with summer rubber.

Buy a set of winter tyres at Toyota you can rest assured that we’ll take care your spares at the Toyota tyre hotel – it might not be quite as luxurious as these pictures suggest, but you’ll feel the difference in your car’s capabilities when the temperature drops.

    1. Hi Gordon,
Thank you for your post. Please can you confirm your question and what you would like to know about moderation? Many thanks.

  1. Hi Gordon,
Thank you for your post. The location Toyota tyre hotel is Stoke Park Country Club, Spa & Hotel. The Toyota tyre hotel was constructed only for this purpose and then the tyres we all return back to the dealerships. Hope this helps, may thanks.

    1. Hello!
Can you please give me a number to ring for Stoke park tire storage department since the only number I found online is for the hotel- the people’s luxurious hotel in Stoke park, not the tire hotel!

      1. Hi there,
Unfortunately we are unable to post any telephone numbers that are non-specific to Toyota UK.

    2. So if I buy set of winter tires at any franchise- let’s say Toyota Jemca- they have to look after my summer tires till the summer when I can go to put them on and leave them my winter tires untill the winter and so on? Is there a fee for that or it’s free if charge?

      1. Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch. This is something you would need to speak to your local Toyota Centre about. They will be able to best advise you on this situation. Do you need some help to find your nearest Centre? Many thanks.

      2. I have bought 4 winter tires from Toyota Reading and they have told me (prior to the purchase) they don’t have storage in their shop. However, I’ve read that article above where Toyota UK stated that as long as you buy 4 winter tires from Toyota, Toyota will take the summer ones and store them until the summer. So I thought that I would be able to put them in that storage in Stoke park country club that Charlotte Mills is talking about in the comments above. So I spoke to Toyota UK (after fitted my winter tires) and they’ve told me that if the Toyota branch where I’ve changed my tires doesn’t have the storage/doesn’t participate in this offer etc. my tires won’t be stored and I have to deal with it. This is a disgrace! You CANNOT POST ARTICLE LIKE THIS about Toyota storing summer tires etc, and then say that because the particular dealership where one has bought his tires doesn’t have the facility, one has to find a solution himself. This just sounds so lame, sounds more like someone who sells tomatos and cucumbers on the high road at a tent, not like Toyota. In the article above is NOT mentioned that if the local Toyota branch doesn’t have the storage in their shop, the customer has to find his own storage etc. It says “BYU A SET OF TIRES IN TOYOTA AND WE”ll take care of your spares in our Toyota tire hotel”. The article should have started like this: Hello, please note that now, some Toyota shops/retailers can store your summer tires if you buy a set of winter tires from them”. The article is misleading!
Shame on you Toyota for turning around and making lame excuses. Never going to buy tires from you! That was very very cheap of you…

  2. Hi Vasil, thanks for getting in touch. We’re sorry to hear about this. We’re aware the customer relations team is currently looking into this for you and we hope to have a resolution soon.

  3. Also extremely disillusioned that Snows Waterlooville also unable to store tyres – makes me wonder if we can rely upon Toyota for any of their offered facilities?
