The new Toyota Yaris is a small car that goes big on safety. With multiple SRS airbags throughout the cabin and specially-designed seats to lessen whiplash in the event of an accident, the Yaris shows that we’re preoccupied with keeping you safe so you don’t have to be. Let us explain in this short film:
Toyota has been a world-leader in automotive safety for decades, and the new Yaris demonstrates why. With seven airbags – that’s driver’s head and knee airbags, passenger airbag, curtain airbags and side-impact airbags – throughout the cabin as standard, it’s no surprise that the new Yaris is designed to provide maximum protection for occupants in the event of an accident.
Toyota also developed the Whiplash-Injury Lessening (WIL) seat, which further protects front seat occupants from damaging whiplash injury, particularly in impacts from the rear. These are fitted as standard across the Yaris range.
