Toyota Hilux saves Sainsburys lorry

The icy blast that has wreaked havoc for motorists in East Sussex this week has proved no match for the Toyota Hilux.

This car, supplied by SLM Motors of Uckfield, successfully towed a heavy goods vehicle up a slippery stretch of road as it was attempting to supply a Sainsbury’s supermarket. Lorries of this type can weigh up to 44 tons fully laden.

It is just another example of why we call the Hilux ‘Invincible’. After conquering both poles, the ice of East Sussex was an (icy) breeze…

  1. I drive a Landcruiser LC4 and in the last snow I saw a Landcruiser towing a huge Farm Tractor and Trailer which was fully loaded with wet hay up a huge hill. The Tractor had broken down. I thought it would never make it, but YES IT DID. A very proud moment to be an owner of a Toyota Landcruiser.
