Update on Toyota extended delivery times

Updated Toyota brand logo

Like many other businesses, Toyota is currently experiencing delays in the global supply chain for some of our components and this has unfortunately led to longer delivery times on some of our more popular new vehicles. In addition we are seeing unprecedented demand for our Hybrid Electric products.

Please be assured that our focus remains on doing everything we can to deliver our cars as quickly as possible and making sure that you have the most up to date information. Toyota’s global strength in production planning means that we have so far managed to minimise the impact of the shortages, but the global issues will result in delivery times longer than we would like.

Our Dealer network partners will have the very latest information and will be able to advise the best options for you, including the earliest available vehicles or sourcing our Approved Used cars.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

  1. Hi tried to order a RAV4 phev dynamic on motability but dealer tells me he can complete the order due to model change to 2023. Any help on this?.

    1. Hi Colin,

Yes, that sounds right. We are now taking orders for MY23, but as pricing hasn’t been released yet, and there is likely to be an increase, Motability haven’t been able to price it up for use on their scheme yet.

      Sorry about that.

      Thanks

    1. Hi Colin, thanks for your comment.

It is great to hear of your interest in the C-HR. Orders placed today would be expected in October of this year.

      Thanks,

      Toyota UK

  2. I ordered my Yaris Cross Excel at the beginning of Aril 2022 and was toolkit would be 3-4 months maximum before delivery. In May this was revised to September. What is the current estimated delivery time?

    1. Hello Steve, thanks for your comment.

Congratulations on your purchase, it’s great to hear that you have a new Yaris Cross on order. We are not able to provide updates on the status of existing orders, this is something that your local Toyota Centre is best placed to advise on.

      Thanks,

      Toyota UK

      1. Hello Toyota UK team,

I ordered my Yaris Cross in mid-March but I’m yet to see the vehicle appear on the MyT app. When I contacted the dealership where tge vehicle was ordered, I was told that the vehicle won’t appear until a license plate number is assigned to it. Judging by the comments here, that doesn’t appear to be the case as people have been able to view their order status.

        Could you please advise?

        Thank you,

        Varun.

    2. I ordered my Yaris cross excel beginning of February and it has an ETA of the end of August. This is in line with the dealer forecast. Currently car is not shown in build. Hope this helps?
I think some dealerships under estimate delivery.

  3. My RAV4 is currently at the “build in progress” stage. Roughly how long does it take for the car to go onto the next stage of “Left the factory”?
After that, how long does it take to ship the car from Japan to the UK?

    1. Hi Tom,

Thanks for getting in touch. Timings depend on a number of factors. Please contact your Toyota centre for more information on your handover date.

      Thanks

    1. Hi Tom,

Thanks for your interest in the Yaris Cross. We’re estimating January 2023 at the moment, but this is subject to change. Please contact your nearest Toyota centre for more information.

      Thanks

      1. Hi Colin,
        Thank you for your order.
Your Toyota Centre will be best placed to advise on the estimated ETA for your vehicle.
        Thanks.

  4. Please can you provide any further information having ordered a Rav4 Phev dynamic premium from Steven Eagell Toyota Romford who advise me that: ‘As it stands it’s still showing as a non-covered order for April next year, this will be changing closer to the time and will come forward’
Thank you in advance for your help

    1. Hi William,

A non-covered order means that your order has not yet been assigned a build slot. Once production is planned for your month of production, your order will get a build slot, then it should get an ETA. Of course, production plans and ETAs are subject to change based on the availability of key parts, like semi-conductors.

Sorry for the inconvenience and uncertainty.

      Thanks

      1. Thank you for your prompt reply. Can you share what month toyota are up to in their production planning for Rav4 Phev dynamic premium for delivery to the UK.

        Thank you

  5. Hi Toyota team

I’ve order a RAV4 Plug-in Dynamic mid February, following several calls to the dealer was finally able to obtain some information, they mention the ETA is 20 September for delivery.
Haven’t receive any update in MyT, it is still in processing order, honestly was expecting to have receive some update in the app for a September delivery and taking into consideration where the RAV4 PHEV is build and transport duration to UK.

For a September delivery when is the latest date the RAV needs to enter the “build” phase?

Are your support team able to confirm this information, Should I email them the order details so they can confirm and help to obtain more details? as I need to make some arrangements with my current car to be able to finalize this purchase, and cannot afford to lose my mobility.

    Thanks in advance
    Michelle

    1. Hi Michelle,

Thanks for your order, and for bearing with us during the supply chain crisis.

‘Processing’ simply means the vehicle hasn’t gone into build yet. Once it has, the status will change.

For a September 20th delivery, we’d expect your vehicle to be built in mid-July, so a little while yet.

Of course, an ETA is estimated, and subject to change. It is not a promise of delivery. We know this is annoying and inconvenient, but we must make you aware.

We do not recommend getting rid of your current car until you have collected your new car.

      Thanks

  6. Hi,

I want to order a Yaris Hybrid before the end of June but I’ve been given different delivery days from various dealers! Ranging from November to Jan 2023, which is correct?! I’ve also been told if I want a panoramic roof it would be May 2023 delivery?!

    Thanks,

    Dan

    1. Hi Dan,

Thanks for your interest in the Yaris. If you were to place an order today, we would expect it to come from November production for January delivery. This is subject to change based on the semi-conductor shortage. Optional extras like Panoramic Roof can have an impact on ETAs too.

We recommend placing an order as soon as possible!

      Thanks

  7. Hi I ordered my new yaris design back in Feb my order number is 60042 could you tell me when it is likely to be available?

    1. Hi Neil, thanks for your comment.

We are unable to provide updates on the status of existing orders. Your local Toyota Centre is best placed to provide these updates as and when they become available.

      Thanks,

      Toyota UK

      1. The car I have on order (since feb) was showing on the myT app until a few months ago it has been removed and all I see is my current toyota on there, I contacted my local dealer in Ipswich and they couldn’t give me an answer as to why this is…can you shed some light on it???

  8. Hi
Ive ordered a Toyota BZ4X and it seems to be in the uk but in Derby and then i Manchester, bypassing London, where I am. Anyone know why this is please?

    1. Hi Mario,

It sounds like it could be a glitch with the MyT app.

Please contact your Toyota centre for more information on delivery. We must say, there may be a slight delay due to a precautionary recall that was announced today.

We are working to get cars updated before delivery.

      Thanks
