Update on Toyota extended delivery times

Updated Toyota brand logo

Like many other businesses, Toyota is currently experiencing delays in the global supply chain for some of our components and this has unfortunately led to longer delivery times on some of our more popular new vehicles. In addition we are seeing unprecedented demand for our Hybrid Electric products.

Please be assured that our focus remains on doing everything we can to deliver our cars as quickly as possible and making sure that you have the most up to date information. Toyota’s global strength in production planning means that we have so far managed to minimise the impact of the shortages, but the global issues will result in delivery times longer than we would like.

Our Dealer network partners will have the very latest information and will be able to advise the best options for you, including the earliest available vehicles or sourcing our Approved Used cars.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

  1. Hi Toyota Team,

Need your help please, I’ve ordered a RAV4 PHEV Dynamic in the middle of February this year, I have to do some sell my current call but not able to get an ETA data from the dealership, can you please let me know when a RAV4 PHEV is ordered middle February 2022, when is it likely to be delivered, even if its only an estimate so I can take steps and ensure I’m still mobile until delivery.
Before you tell me to refer back to the dealer, they’re not offering any further information and I’m not in direct contact with them so please, I’m not complaining I’d just like a rough idea of when the car will arrive.

    1. Hi Michelle,
      Thanks for your question.
We would estimate ETA of September or October based on a Mid February order.
However, please take this as an estimate because we are still receiving production cuts due to worldwide semi-conductor supply shortages.
In addition, with events such as Shanghai being locked down for two months, there are further knock-on effects on supply chains.
      We hope this helps.

      1. I ordered a brand new Toyota Aygo last November 2021 which was then eventually cancelled early 2022 due to production line being stopped to then start the Toyota AygoX range. I then agreed on a new Toyota AygoX model in March and told to expect delivery in June/July 2022 but now they are telling me they don’t know any dates after me chasing the dealership. I have to say the customer service has been very poor and correspondence almost non existent. I’m stuck in limbo at the moment as my car has now needed mot/tax/insurance and value dropped which stops me walking away from deal. Do you know what the current lead time is for the March orders on the new Aygo X.

      2. Hi John,
        Thanks for your comment.
Firstly, we would like to apologise for the service you have received.
If your Toyota Centre are unable to provide you with an estimated ETA date, they will have to open a case with our team.

      3. Hi is the the same for a Rav4 PHEV Dynamic Premium

I ordered it Mid March and got a alert that i wont receive it until March 2023

      4. Hi,
If you have had a notification of your ETA, we would recommend sticking with this.

    2. I ordered my RAV4 Plug-in Premium Dynamic in mid-January, the ETA was end of June but today I’ve been told the new ETA is August 😩
I was hoping it’d be similar to what happened with my wife’s Yaris Cross – the ETA was April but we collected it at the beginning of January 🤷🏼‍♂️

  2. My MyT has updated to show the place of production and the map.
Does this mean my RAV4 is going to be made soon? If so, how long from the update until the building of it?

    1. Hi Tom, thanks for your comment.

We are not able to provide updates on the status of existing orders. Your local Toyota Centre is best placed to provide this information.

    2. Wouldn’t hold your breath Tom, mine has been on Processing order for 2 months so goodness knows how long before it moves to Build in progress

  3. I received my RAV 4 Hybrid Design to day ordered end of January
A colleague liked it and ordered though Fleet Solutions we did a search for any Dealers with the car in stock and were lucky to find one at a dealer and all in all process took 3 weeks so it may be helpful to search if a dealer has your vehicle in stock

Can I ask the lead time for a Corolla GR Sport in solid white please and no the dealer also cannot give times

    1. Hi Deborah, thanks for your comment.

Congratulations on your new purchase, we hope you are enjoying your RAV4 so far. Orders placed today for the Corolla would be expected in January 2023.

      1. That’s a worry ordered a Corolla Sports Touring GR Spec only yesterday and told would be November delivery…..in Manhattan Grey if that makes a difference at the time I thought 6 months was excessive but I get the supply demands

  4. Hi I ordered a new Toyota Hilux Ivinsible X on the 2nd January 2022 so when can I expect this to be delivered to the Toyota dealer for collection

    1. Hi Steven,
Your Toyota Centre would be best placed to advise on the delivery time of your vehicle.

  5. I’ve ordered a brand new AygoX Auto early 2022 but the dealership are still saying they don’t even have an estimated delivery date, I even joked and said what not even this year but they wouldn’t commit. Agree Toyota customer service is looking to get bad press. Do you have any updates and if not surely Toyota have an obligation to contact manufacturing sites to then update customers who have deposits already paid sitting in Toyota Group bank account.

    1. Hi Dan,
If your Toyota Centre are unable to provide you with an estimated ETA for your Aygo X, they will have to open a case with our team.

  6. Hi
Ordered new SWB 3 door land cruiser in DEC 2021
Can you advise if it will have a SPARE wheel ?
My dealer has advised current ETA is MARCH 2023

    1. Hi Henry,
      Thanks for your comment.
Your Toyota Centre would be best placed to assist you with this query as they have information on your specific vehicle order.

  7. Ordered a Corolla TS GR Spec in Manhattan Grey 3rd June and been told delivery end of November.

Looks at previous comments you are stating January for Corolla builds I have my fingers crossed

  8. I ordered my Toyota Yaris excel on the 15 February 2022 told to expect 5 June, I rang my dealer 31 of May to find we’re with the order. Then I was told we’re looking at February 2023. Looking on the bright side there may be a new model out by the time I get to pick it up.

    1. Hello Stuart. I ordered a yaris excel hybrid a week before you. I was told it should be here in june, july latest. If I don’t call Yoemans toyota, they won’t call me. It has been over 3 months since I last called. The person I had fill out my paperwork is out on a test drive now so have to wait for him to call me back. If I fall into this same catagory as you, I will be cancelling my order. To me this is a breach of contract. Sorry you have to wait so long.

  9. Hi, I placed an order on 28th April 2022 for Corolla GR Sport 1.8l and want to check the estimated delivery. The dealer said the MyT app would have more information than they would actually have, but it doesn’t give an ETA. Any indication of timescale greatly appreciated.

I also wondered at what point orders placed are for 22 model or 23 model year. Cheers

    1. Hi Andrew,
      Thanks for your comment.
Please keep an eye on your MyT app, this will give you updates.
Your Corolla should be a Model Year 2022, and the Model Year 2023 Corolla is not available to order until next year.

  10. Hi Toyota Team,
Could you please help me, I’ve ordered a RAV4 Hybrid Dynamic in the middle of November 2021 and ETA was March/April 22 but unfortunately there is still no updates. can you please let me know when my RAV4 is it likely to be delivered.
Before you refer me back to the dealership, they’re not able to provide any updates at the moment.

    1. Hi Raja,
If your dealership is unable to provide updates, we would recommend that they open a case with us.

      1. Thanks for your reply
The dealership said if they open a case with you what can you do to help because vehicle is still not allocated me. I am really confused, I understand coronavirus has caused delayed but It seems I am only one who is effected most.

      2. Hi Toyota UK,
I had the same issues with my dealership. I placed my order on the 12/11/21 for RAV 4 Excel. MyT app is still showing as ‘ Processing Order’ and according to the latest ETA from the dealership, September 2022.
The ETA has been further delayed again from Feb 2022, Jun 2022, Aug 2022.
I would appreciate if Toyota UK can look into this and let me know whether the latest ETA September 2022 is achievable?
Surely Toyota UK will be able to contact the Toyota plant in Japan and check the status of the order?
        My order ID is KM4107
        MINIVOM Order ID 00005772905001001002

      3. Hi Jeff,
        Thanks for your comment.
If your dealership has advised September 2022, we would recommend sticking with this advice.
Please consider that this is just an estimate due to the current supply restrictions.
