Update on Toyota extended delivery times

Updated Toyota brand logo

Like many other businesses, Toyota is currently experiencing delays in the global supply chain for some of our components and this has unfortunately led to longer delivery times on some of our more popular new vehicles. In addition we are seeing unprecedented demand for our Hybrid Electric products.

Please be assured that our focus remains on doing everything we can to deliver our cars as quickly as possible and making sure that you have the most up to date information. Toyota’s global strength in production planning means that we have so far managed to minimise the impact of the shortages, but the global issues will result in delivery times longer than we would like.

Our Dealer network partners will have the very latest information and will be able to advise the best options for you, including the earliest available vehicles or sourcing our Approved Used cars.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

  1. Ordered a standard Yaris Cross Excel with metallic paint at the beginning of February 2022. Dealer told me to expect the car in 25 weeks, end of July 2022.
Is this still a realistic schedule?

    1. Hi Carl,
      Thanks for your comment.
Unfortunately, we are unable to advise on lead times for individual orders.
Please contact your Toyota Centre for further assistance.
      Thanks.

      1. Surely at Toyota you use know when February orders are scheduled to be built?

I would expect my car to enter the build process end of May or early June for delivery in July.

If you cannot answer this simple question what is the point of this site?

  2. I have recently ordered a Toyota Yaris and was told a November delivery. Looking at this forum, I have reason to believe that November may be optimistic. I have contacted my dealer wishing to cancel the order and get a refund on my deposit(within 14 day period). They have informed me that are unable to refund the deposit due to the fact that Toyota would fine the dealership for a cancelled order. Do Toyota fine dealership for cancelled orders?

    1. Hi Daniel,
      Thanks for your comment.
The Estimated ETA month for a Yaris Hybrid is currently December 2022.
      Thanks.

    1. Hi Steve,
      Thanks for your comment.
The estimated ETA month for the Hilux is currently January 2023.
      Thanks.

      1. Many thanks. Is the delivery time the same regardless of model or is the Invincible X longer than delivery than the GR?

      2. Hi Steve,
Delivery for all models is fairly similar.
However, some optional extras or grade changes may cause a slight delay.
Your dealership would be best placed to advise on an individual basis.
        Thanks.

  3. I ordered a Toyota Yaris Excel with a pano roof in January 2022 and was given an excepted delivery date of August 2022 I have just now been informed that the new expected delivery date is early 2023. I can understand that due to production problems there was a delay of 8 months which I was willing to accept (after I had verbally been told May/June before I placed the order) but then to have a minimum of 4 months added to this and no new date supplied, this seems to me like miss selling a product. Who is best to contact in Toyota to speak about this with.

  4. I ordered a Rav 4 in early March with a quoted delivery time of December 2022. Now 2 months into the order delivery has gone back by 3 months. I note many responses on this site advise that a dealer is the best place to go for further information but my dealer is simply very vague saying “ things can change at any time “ which I find less than professional or helpful. Where can I get accurate information please

    1. Hi Alan,
Your Toyota Centre has information on your specific order.
Therefore, they are best placed to assist you with this.
      Thanks.

  5. Hi, just wondered if you could give an estimated delivery time for the Corolla Touring Sports Icon Tech 1.8please? I’m trying to work out the best time to order as I have 12 months left on my current PCP deal. Thanks.

    1. Hi Jon,

Thanks for your interest. It looks like deliveries for Corolla are expect for around November, but this is subject to change, and depends on specification. Please contact your Toyota centre for an ETA based on your exact specification.

      Thanks

  6. How can Toyota UK not know the lead time of their cars? I ordered a Corolla estate in December, was told March, then April and now June at the earliest but that they really don’t know. All I’m seeing here is “please contact” your dealer. Surely you must have more information than that, and if not, you should have. I’m sorely tempted to cancel the order because of the lack of clarity and information. I feel like we’re all being lead down the garden path. Communication is great until you have our money and then it all stops.

    1. Hi Jonathan,
      Thanks for your comment.
We are sorry to hear about this and we completely understand your frustration.
The reason we advise our customers to contact their centres regarding delivery times is because the centres have information on each individual customer order.
If your centre has insufficient information, they can raise a case with us to discuss this.
If you would like to raise your case further, please contact our Customer Relations team.
You can contact them here – https://www.toyota.co.uk/help-centre/.

      Thanks.
