Update on Toyota extended delivery times

Like many other businesses, Toyota is currently experiencing delays in the global supply chain for some of our components and this has unfortunately led to longer delivery times on some of our more popular new vehicles. In addition we are seeing unprecedented demand for our Hybrid Electric products.

Please be assured that our focus remains on doing everything we can to deliver our cars as quickly as possible and making sure that you have the most up to date information. Toyota’s global strength in production planning means that we have so far managed to minimise the impact of the shortages, but the global issues will result in delivery times longer than we would like.

Our Dealer network partners will have the very latest information and will be able to advise the best options for you, including the earliest available vehicles or sourcing our Approved Used cars.

  1. Hi I’ve asked my dealer about the progress of my car and they say that it’s still not been an acknowledged order. Is there any way of chasing it up from head office? It’s a New yaris.

  2. Is there a way of tracking the order once placed by the dealership?

    I have logged into myt and nothing is showing.

  3. My dealership don’t answer any questions. I would also be interested in tracking my order in MyT and I did ask the dealer about this and they never responded. They cant even confirm if the order is placed with Toyota or not. Maybe I didnt make the right choice by choising Toyota as my next car.

      Placed my order at the end of August. I want to track it on MyT so that I am not emailing the dealership every week for an update.

    2. I would very much like to track my order too. I ordered in March and the only update I get is that there’s no update whenever I call. No VIN/Reg has been provided and on the order form, it was supposed to have been delivered on Oct 1st, 3 months later than the dealer estimated.

    3. I’m having the same issue, my RAV 4 has been showing as order processing since July. Phoned the dealership to make sure it was still coming on my delivery date and they assured me no other cars had been delayed and the app doesn’t get updated very often. After chasing it up further up the chain it turns out they’ve not even started to build my car in Japan, it might come in February but probably not. Wish I’d never bought a Toyota now.

  4. New Corolla TS GT on order, Lister Toyota inform me 6 November delivery, but nothing showing on my Toyota in new car delivery?

  5. I ordered a new Yaris Dynamic in August and still no further information, the MyT app says they haven’t even started building it yet. If it’s not here by December then I am cancelling my order. I can get a new Suzuki Swift in 4 weeks.

      1. There is no point directing customers to the dealers, they don’t know any more than we do. You need to contact the factories and get us some idea of when the car is coming, not keep extending the delivery times over and over again.

  6. Hi we ordered a rav4 in July and the app says it’s been built (took 7 days ) now it’s showing left the factory in Japan. How long does shipping take.

  7. Information on delivery seems very sparse. I ordered a Corolla in late Sept via a dealer. My Toyota shows “processing order” and has shown the same for weeks. My dealer is unable to get a build date (or even an estimate) and, whilst I expected some long delivery times when I placed the order (Brexit, etc.), I’m currently frustrated that 6 weeks after placing the order, it hasn’t yet been processed and gained a slot in the Toyota build schedule.
    How on earth do I get a reasonable estimate for delivery (and please don’t say “contact the dealer” as they seem to be as much in the dark as I am)?
