  1. I asked this one about the plugin Prius and the answer was a disappointing no. I suspect the same is true here, but I’ll ask anyway. Any option to add adaptive cruise? If not, then I think that was my last chance with Toyota, and it’s elsewhere for the replacement car planned.

  2. Any more new for the diesel engines that will be available in the future? Any estimated dates or any further technical details about them would be more than desired.

  3. Hi, I have a couple of questions for you, I must say to begin with however, the new Auris certainly is growing on me, I wasen’t sure at first but in the right colour it looks great, I will say I wish it had been renamed Corolla however as its a nameplate with more history than most people understand.
my first question regards a three door Auris as I think one with a more coupe like roofline like the Kia proc’eed or vauxhall Astra gtc would be great.
My second question asks are you considering making a successor to the E120 Corolla T-sport as I think a hot hatch version of the Auris would improve its lacklustre image somewhat and fit in nicely with the history of hot toyotas and be a nice stable mate to the fantastic GT86.

  4. This looks interesting. Can you specify a proper sunroof ie slide & tilt? (I see a panoramic glass roof is available but to me is useless). How about heated seats?

I’m going to the Paris MShow. Will the estate version be on show?

    1. Hi Mikel,
We will be answering your Auris questions towards the end of the week, here on the Toyota blog.
In the meantime, yes this version will be displayed at the Paris Motor Show. You might like to see the blog post announcement here: http://ow.ly/dYNq5.
      Many thanks for your post!

  5. On the current Auris, mid-range versions (eg TR) get power folding mirrors. On the new one, they are only standard on the Excel, ie top of the range. Why? Surely this is a backward step. Will they be available as an option on the Active or Icon grades?

  6. Apparently current 1.4 D4-D will be further updated.

According to Toyota: “Improvements such as an increase in fuel injection system pressure and the adoption
of a compact, high-efficiency turbocharger have allowed the 1.4-liter ND diesel engine
for passenger cars to achieve both high fuel efficiency and high driving performance.
Furthermore, the adoption of newly developed exhaust gas cleaning technology
enabled the engine to pass the Euro 6, one of the most stringent exhaust emission
standards in the world. Vehicles equipped with the new diesel engine are planned for
    launch starting 2015.”

  7. I see at long last a DAB radio is to be fitted as standard in at least some grades of the new Auris. Will it be fitted with a proper external aerial, or do we have to have second rate stick on windscreen type?.

    1. Hi Bert,
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, this is yet to be announced. We will be sure to keep you updated here on the Toyota blog with any further news.
      Many thanks.

    1. Hi MW,
At present, we don’t have precise figures on CO2 emissions for the Auris Hybrid. However, as we said in this article, CO2 emissions will be lower in each version of the new model than in the equivalent it replaces.
Please stay tuned to the blog, though, because we will report details like this as soon as Toyota announces them.
Hope that helps and thanks for the question.

      Regards,
      Will

  8. Thank you Ben for the info, much appreciated! My question was mainly focusing on the “rumor” that Toyota will introduce (and) to Auris, within the next two years, two new 1.6 and 2.0 liters diesel engines designed by BMW. I am just asking so I will know if it really deserves the wait in case it happens or should just check on my current options.

    1. Hi Thanos.
Toyota has agreed to develop engines with BMW but at present there are no immediate plans to introduce these into the Auris range.
      Thanks,
      Will
