Using an appropriate child seat is essential to keep a child safe when travelling by car. Your nearest Toyota dealer can supply a range of seats to suit children of different weights and ages.
All the child seats offered as official Toyota accessories have been carefully chosen for their quality, safety and ease of fitting. The range includes rearward-facing baby seats and forward-facing seats for toddlers and older children. The Toyota accessories range also includes child restraint bases so you can quickly and easily lift baby seats in and out of your car.
Current Toyota models have ISOFIX mounting points. These make fitting a child seat quick, easy and convenient since the seat clicks into place using special mounts. The ISOFIX system all but eliminates the chance of fitting a seat incorrectly.
If you own an older car without ISOFIX mounts, the child seats can still be secured using the car’s seat belts.
When travelling with a child, using an appropriate child restraint is a legal requirement. Children must use an appropriate child seat until they are 12 years old or 135cm tall.

I have a 21 reg Yaris Hybrid and I have a rear facing Isofix car seat fitted in the rear for my Grandson
My problem is fastening the seat belt. The edge of the car seat is so close to the seat belt port on the seat that I cannot, without physically climbing into the back to try and manoeuvre the clip to allow the belt to fit in. With no rear courtesy light this is becoming quite a challenging situation.
Please help as I want to keep my Grandson safe.

From what I’ve read I don’t think you use the seat belt as well as the isofix ? Did Toyota confirm this ?
