Racing Colour is a website that allows users to download line drawings of cars to colour in.  Tom Campbell started the site in December 2012, following a life-long passion for motor sport and cars.

Speaking of the complex process that is necessary to produce such intricate drawings, he explained: “The hardest part is trying to picture the car in 3D. I start with a rough sketch to get the size of each part right, then scan it in to the computer and draw clean versions of all the lines in an illustrator program.”

In the meantime, what Toyota models are next on Tom’s agenda?  “The GT-One Le Mans car, the Eagle MKIII, TOM’s Supra GTIII and the crazy Toyota Tacoma Pikes Peak car,” he says.

Is there a Toyota model that you would like Tom to draw? Make your suggestion in the comments below and they may just be added to the competition.

  1. Great work Toyota and Tom. I’ve been following Tom’s website for a while now, making various requests. The TS020 Toyota GT-One is certainly one of the cars I’d love to see done.

If you want some other Toyota suggestions, how about:

1998 Toyota Corolla WRC (Rally Monte Carlo-winner, Carlos Sainz/Luis Moya)

    TS020 Toyota GT-One (1999 Le Mans 24 hrs)

Toyota 7 (1970 twin turbo version)

    TF101 2001 Toyota F1 test car

Toyota Celica LB Turbo Group 5

    TF105 2005 Toyota F1 first podium

    Toyota 2000GT 1967 Fuji 24 hr race-winner

Toyota Celica ST165 GT-Four 1990 World Rally Champion Carlos Sainz/Luis Moya

    Toyota JZA80 Supra GT500 #6 Esso, 2002 champions Juichi Wakisaka/Akira Iida

    TS010 1992 Le Mans

Toyota Celica ST185 GT-Four 1994 Safari Rally Ian Duncan/David Williamson

Maybe you could commission Tom to produce a giant colouring in poster of Toyota’s motorsport history, and offer coloured and uncoloured versions for Toyota fans like myself to download?
