Is ACC/PCS (adaptive cruise) still available, as an option? (Although it ought to be standard by now, as it is on lesser cars such as the Golf, but anyway).
And where is the hybrid ?
Hi Teej,
The Adaptive Cruise Control and Pre-Crash Safety features are available within the Safety Pack option, together with Lane Keeping Assist. This option is available on the 2013 Avensis Excel grade for the 2.2 D-CAT Auto engine.
Thank you for your feedback here, we will be sure to pass this on.
Kind regards.
Hi Andrew,
A Hybrid drivetrain is not available for the 2013 Avensis. You may be interested in our Auris Touring Sports model, available in the Summer, which has a Hybrid option. More details here: http://ow.ly/jdxCt.
We hope this helps.
1800 cc petrol engine very under powered in tr avensis 2010 model
When will you update toyota.co.uk and the marketing collateral? Seems to be a lag between making the announcement on a blog and getting other customer facing content updated, tomorrow is 1 May?
Hi Tony,
Thanks for your comment.
The information we have for the 2013 Avensis is available on this blog post, as you’ve seen. If you’d like to discuss this model further, your local dealer will be happy to help. You can find their details here: http://ow.ly/kB0RG.
The website and marketing materials will be updated in due course.
Many thanks.
Is the new Avensis Excel model available with petrol engine?
Hi Bart,
Thank you for getting in touch.
Its great to see you’re interested in the Avensis. The Excel grade comes with a Diesel engine only. The Avensis Icon+ grade has the option of Petrol or Diesel. You may find the following link useful: http://bit.ly/17HX5ls.
Hope this helps.
Any news on getting new and more efficient diesels? The D4-D has run it’s course and should have been binned years ago. I’ll be looking at a new Avensis in 2014, and I don’t want the D4-D that they are lumbered with. Many of my colleagues have bigger cars with 2.2 litre diesels which return better mpg and are more powerful and responsive. What happened to the BMW join up?
Hi Ed
Thanks for your post. We are still working in collaboration with BMW regarding diesel engines. The plan has always been to supply these from 2014 however no further details regarding specific models have been released at this stage. We will make sure that all the latest news is updated on our Blog when this occurs.
